Super Bowl Bound
Yes, it's fair to say I may have a man crush on B.J. Raji and Clay Matthews. They got us to the Super Bowl in just their second year. I love how the whole playoffs every analyst has dumped on Green Bay. Colin Cowherd, I'm coming for you. You said Rodgers was the worst QB in the playoffs and you said Packer fans were insane for liking Rodgers. You said Philadelphia would win. Then you said that Philadelphia had an off-day and of course you picked Atlanta. And then you picked Chicago. It's electric up here, I can't scream because I have no voice. There are people dancing the polka outside. It's just amazing.

And somewhere, St. Vince is smiling down upon the green and gold.

What is this... "Super Bowl" that you speak of?
Are you carrying on again about the foozeball?
It must be a madhouse out in Green Bay! I wish I was there...there is only three us celebrating here in Elizabeth, NJ...Now we are all rooting for The Jets!...I think a Packers-Jets Super Bowl will be good for the NFL...they won't lose The New York market and The Packers will beat The Jets! The Jets win tonight Elizabeth will go crazy! I live in a small dominated by Mets/Jets fans. We are going to The Super Bowl my friend! And Aaron Rodgers can turn around and take the NFL's Pro Bowl snub and tell them to shove it up their ass...He is going to the only game that matters!
I'm rooting for the green and gold. Pats fan here, but would love to see the Pack take one. Rodgers has been fantastic, Matthews is a crazy man, solid defense, solid receiving corp. Donald Driver deserves this. Good luck.
this is funnyyy
How do you feel about that 1st round pick the Packers had to give the Patriots in order to draft Clay Matthews?
@Automaton_Emotion -
It is the game of American Hand Egg. And my team the Green Bay Packers from Acme Meats are playing the championship game called The Super Bowl. They play for a large bowl of soup.
<---that's the team symbol, the "G" stands for "good"
@Automaton_Emotion - hey i'll have you know that while football may appear violent and opaque on the outside, on the inside it's as intellectual a game as chess.
@Tallman -
I can't believe Rodgers got snubbed. Maybe that is fueling him to get to the Super Bowl. Let all those other guys play in a meaningless game.
way to go, you guys are looking good.
@RushmoreJ -
I wished the Packers could have had the Patriots in the Super Bowl given how close the game was this season and it was Matt Flynn under center.
@BranmacFeabhail -
Yeah I like the game of American Hand Egg.
@kachino -
Feels good man
@complicatedlight -
They didn't look so sharp the second half but the defense held and that's important.
@godfatherofgreenbay - As in, "Mmm,mmm good?" I had no idea Campbell's had anything to do with the foozeball. Huh.
@complicatedlight - A chess game in which the pawns are launched at one another from across the room, perhaps...
Well since my team is gone I'm jumping on the GB bandwagon. Go Packers!
@godfatherofgreenbay -
I still remember that draft. I remember asking you the question ... how do you feel about that pick ... I don't know what you replied back then ... but it doesn't matter now
I honestly think I might be a closet Packers fan!
I don't know what channel you were watching, but most of the sports media picked GB to beat Atlanta in the playoffs. Of course, I think it was more then hating Atlanta than them liking GB.
HELL YEAH!!!
I wish I could rec this about a thousand times!
Super Bowling?
Btw I heard some group of old guys never missed a super bowl.
ha ha ha ha, did not take you long to get THIS blog up, did it! I thought about you while they were playing today. Yay glad you're happy! I don't have a preference :duck:
No sorry I just prefer college football so much that it almost doesn't even seem like the same game to me. Prolly already told you that but anyway, gREAT!
I slept through half of that game, and apparently so did the Bears.
Jay Cutler sucks. I hate to admit that from the beginning, I knew that the packers were gonna take it, and I placed that on the Q.b. It will be interesting to see how the GB offense goes against the Steelers Defense. The battle for which team has the better yellow.
@Automaton_Emotion - hmph.
@complicatedlight - Don't worry. Four years of marching band means I can actually follow a game and know what's happening.
@Automaton_Emotion - don't worry here, either. i'd rather watch the tour de france. or go for a ride.
@Automaton_Emotion -
I think it's Chunky's because they are the official soup of the NFL
@justtesting21 -
Awesome, there's plenty of room
Woo-hoo! Go Packers! I've been a Packers fan for about 13 years!
@kachino -
I was really happy with Raji because he was a beast. I was a little iffy on Matthews but I had seen enough USC to know he was good plus I knew his bloodline. I didn't expect Matthews to be such a beast.
@Rob_of_the_Sky -
It seemed like everyone on ESPN was pulling for Atlanta...I know Cowherd was as was Jaworski and Kornheiser as well as most of the NFL Live crew. On Dan Patrick they were split.
@ShamrockLover -
I wish I could speak so I could yell
@ShamrockLover -
It was such a great game
@my_little_niche -
Yeah I know...I wish I could repost this every 5 minutes but I'm not that evil.
@WondersCafe -
Yeah they show that commercial quite a bit. I should find those old guys and "borrow" their tickets because I'm nit sure if I can swing $2600 for the cheap seats.
@Diva_Jyoti_3 -
Yeah I am more of a fan of college football as a whole but I just follow the Packers in the NFL.
@TheGiantSlayer -
You know they were saying that this week would be a great match-up of the Bears defense and the Packers offense. I can't believe Cutler quit. He didn't look hurt but then I don't know his body...no homo.
@mrsclark11 -
Certainly a great game and should be an exciting Super Bowl.
Like you I feel responsible for helping them make it to the super bowl by screaming at the TV, it must help right?
In regards to the hat, you gotta remember he is impressing the 4 and under crowd.
@godfatherofgreenbay -
Hmmm...I didn't think ESPN knew how to say that Atlanta could win a game. Before the game, 4 of the 5 guys on the Fox team were pulling for Green Bay. Of course, a lot of the sports media was pulling for Green Bay to beat Atlanta in the regular season, and we all saw how that went.
Yay Packers! Now I wanna see them beat Pittsburgh.
@ElevenStones -
I know McCarthy can hear me calling plays at home but most of the time he ignores me especially when I kept telling him to go for it on 4th down and to quit trying to run to the one side.
@Rob_of_the_Sky -
Yeah that pregame show all went for Green Bay but everyone else seemed to have the Falcons. This week there was a split on ESPN and shows like Dan Patrick. A lifelong Bears fan on the DP show picked the Packers because he was expecting one of Cutler's gunslinging games. I see Vegas has given the Packers the edge but there's two weeks to go and already people are jumping on the Steelers' bandwagon.
@comet555 -
Yeah I used to respect the Steelers organization but not after the recent Rothelisberger fiasco. Even though he wasn't charged with anything, there was smoke and where there's smoke there's fire.
Ha! This is funny! Congrats and YAY!

ok, since both (count 'em, both!) of my teams are out, i am now officially rooting for the Packers ... yaaaay for Green Baaaay!!!
@adamswomanlost -
It was so exciting. A lot of people were upset that it wasn't a faster pace but to me that makes it dull.
@Peridot21 -
Wow that must have been difficult for you to do. Oh and didn't a certain team from Ashwaubenon beat beat your teams? A team that uses a G as their logo because it stands for "good"?
@godfatherofgreenbay - lol nah, not so much... i'm one of those "fair weather fans" (unlike my dad and my brother
... oh, and a team that uses a G? hmmm i'm sorry, i don't know what you're talking about, i've been too distracted by Cam's purty smile...
@Peridot21 -
Oh you! I have a feeling he'll end up in either San Francisco or Washington D.C. because I don't think Harbaugh has confidence in Alex or Troy Smith and then Washington D.C. because of the whole McNabb fiasco.
@godfatherofgreenbay - lol =P ... but, yeah, that's what my brother said too, about the McNabb thing, anyway.
@Peridot21 -
I have a feeling McNabb will end up in Arizona, Minnesota, or Cincinnati because Carson Palmer demanded a trade and he could end up in Arizona, Minnesota, Washington D.C., Carolina, Miami, or Tennesee but those are only if teams decide not to draft anyone at QB...ok I need to apply to be an analyst on ESPN
@godfatherofgreenbay - lol you really do
@Peridot21 -
so my plan is this: I hire myself out to people for home commentary. Like I'll go to their house to analyze the games. Currently I'm prepared to analyze any sport except NASCAR
