I watched this movie called "Bridesmaids" this evening. I think it's this independent type movie that didn't get any mainstream media attention. Anyway, it's set in Milwaukee and I got to thinking, "Gee, today is April 14th and that means it's
Milwaukee Day." It's easy to remember Milwaukee day because it's always on 4/14 and the area code for Milwaukee is 414. So come enjoy Milwaukee and celebrate during one of its many ethnic festivals or Summerfest. If you want to do some serious drinking, check out the Miller Brewery, the Schotz Brewery, the Milwaukee Brewing Company, Lakefront Brewery, and Sprecher Brewery. And if that isn't enough drinking, head to legendary Water Street to the Water Street Brewery and Milwaukee Ale House and the most famous bar in Milwaukee, The Safe House. Make sure you know the password before going to the Safe House. Enjoy the Milwaukee Art Museum, watch the great circus parade, catch a baseball game at Miller Park, fear the deer with the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center and if basketball isn't in season you can check out the Milwaukee Admirals hockey team or the Milwaukee Mustangs indoor football team at the Bradley Center. Also make sure you find the statue dedicated to Milwaukee's most popular resident, Arthur Fonzarelli. So please come to Milwaukee, the most romantic city in the Midwest and the birthplace of beer goggles.
And now it's time for
#Caturday It's time for bed, have a great weekend.

While I'm very much a dog person, I never get tired of looking at pictures of cats!
The biggest reason I have for wanting to go to Milwaukee surprisingly does not revolve around beer... I am dying to go to The Safe House
milwaukee, the most romantic destination in the midwest huh?
i had no idea.
I enjoy your caturday posts.
LMAO at the 67-Ho one :D
Chemistry kittehs almost make me wish I had pursued science more for a career... almost. lol
I dig Milwaukee. Sorry I missed Milwaukee Day. Now where's the cat with the cheesehead hat?
I never knew it until I had kitties of my own. Kitties really do love belly scratches.
Man do I need the chipmunk catching cat; got one that has been evading me all year so far.

Nice, I always enjoy these. :)
i heard the first films with sound that came out of your state were called Milwaukee Talkies. well, i didn't really hear that but if i had i would have pointed it out.
Green eyes! Nice post. That chemist of a cat is so serious. Thank you for sharing!
haha i've located a worm hole.
@methodElevated - yeah, cat's are for some reason more photogenic. I think they know what the camera is.
@firetyger - if you get there and there's a doorman say "I AM LOOKING FOR A SAFE HOUSE" Do not say "I'm". That won't work. Also if there isn't a doorman, go inside and there should be a slot machine on the wall, pull the lever and the bookcase will slide open. If you don't do that they'll make you do something stupid while everyone at the bar watches the security camera footage. I won't tell you about the secret exit but there is one. Also how they make a martini is the most awesome thing I've ever seen at a bar. There is also an alleged entrance at the restaurant above and if you know the password the booth lowers into The Safe House. I don't know that password. I went there once when Britney Spears and Tom Petty were patrons.
@bonmots - nothing says romance like going from brewery to brewery and getting tanked and then winding up rolling around in some random public park with the one you love and then finding the little people section of town that is built to scale
@RestlessButterfly - glad you enjoy
@Cestovatelka - yeah, those chemist cats are quite funny, I think I have a few more left and then I'll have something new.
@Kellsbella - hmmm I may have to do a search for that one
