Two of my good friends in high school both lost their virginity at 14. One lived in Germany where evidentally it's a legal age. The other in Florida where it's not till 18.
But we like to beat a dead horse.
@TheGiantSlayer - I always wondered if the age was lower overseas because during the dark ages the life expectancy was so much lower. I have a feeling it's lower over there because of all the sex ed. and what not.
It's strange that it's so varied in the U.S. though. And for some reason, and this is by no means a redneck joke, I thought that the age of consent was much lower in Kentucky. Maybe it's the age where children can marry without parental consent that I'm thinking of.

@Thatslifekid - yeah ska was pretty big when I was in college as was swing bands, I have a few ska cds, one of my favorite being a compilation of ska bands covering Sinatra songs. Is Goldfinger still considered ska? They seemed punk when they gave me champagne.

@BranmacFeabhail - I got a cheap one from Dollar General for $50 because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to give up paper books but here I am with so many ebooks but I don't pay for them...sigh...back to reading The Hunger Games.

@distractedbyzombies - ereading has become pretty easy for me. The thing I like most is if the book is boring and I fall asleep it will shut off automatically and I won't lose my place like when I fall asleep and drop my book.
I remember when I was such a punk aficionado and people would say, "I love punk. I love Green Day." I would scoff at them and give them a piece of my mind. I've really mellowed out. I think it has something to do with all the Paul Oakenfold, Phish, Wilco, The Streets, and Grateful Dead I've listened to.
