  • Motivation

Well it is cold.  I am currently in a nicely heated house however when I look outside I know it is bitterly cold.  There are warnings out to avoid being outside for extended periods of time.  They are saying that the wind chill could dip to over -40F tomorrow morning.  There are already some schools saying they will start two hours late or be closed.  Sometime tonight we are also supposed to get a couple inches of snow breaking that myth that it can get too cold for snow.  Well I need some motivation to go outside tomorrow and shovel if we get that snow.

So I walked out on my porch while typing this up....it's cold...balls-shrinkingly cold.

  • -15 here. Score. Ah well, I guess I'll hibernate. I wouldn't bug me half as much if I didn't start my second semester next week. Lord knows when I get back to my car after 6 hours I'll have to scrape the inch or so of ice and snow off of it and wait for it to warm up again. They're cancelling school here too. We usually don't get weather this nasty until February. Thanks Mother Nature. = p

Speaking of ball-shrinking cold, my 16 year old brother was discusiing that. The topic was so visual I nearly drove off the side of the highway.

And thank you for responding to my post. It's been a looong time since I've gotten feedback. I feel a little better now than I did earlier. =]

  • I love the illiteracy one and the clown car one. So funny.
It is 25 degrees here supposed to be 15 or something like that in the morning. THAT is pretty cold for Sunny Georgia. Still no beautiful snow though.

  • I agree with your description of the weather - balls-shringingly cold.

    Love your signs.

I'm afraid I never got see much of Johnny Carson at his prime.  I know he used to be good.  I saw him most when he was past his prime.  When he would be absent more than present.  When he wouldn't even have rehearsed or gone over his lines ahead of time.  When he wouldn't play different roles - like Carnack.  I dislike especially that he didn't even prepare as he thought he had had it made and didn't need to.  I couldn't figure out why everyone thought he was great.  He wasn't.  But then I realized that he wasn't as great at the end of his career as he was during the first part of his career.  I think a lot like me now.

  • I strongly disagree with the caption on the first picture. Ms Rice isn't stupid. Okay, hitching her star to the Bush Charade was stupid. And getting blindsided by Putin's new imperialism was stupid, considering Russian history and current events was supposed to be her area of expertise. And not telling Bush the difference between Shia and Sunni? Pretty stupid. Ah, you're right! But she plays a mean piano.....

  • Christ, I'm cold now just thinking about it.

  • Supposed to get -2 here.

    Once again, great motivational posters.

  • we are getting that realy cold shit here for the next to days. It's the damn Canadians I tell you . They keep sending us their weather. We need to make Canada a tropical paradise, that would solve everything. Keep your balls warm, because a man without his balls is....well, a woman. (that should get me a ton of hate mail, which will help keep me warm).

  • @twistedmistletoe -

Oh I hate having to warm up the car before you can go anywhere but I guess that is better than busting some of the belts and causing the car to break down while it is this cold. I know, it happened to me once. That was a day from hell. They are saying that the windchill could get to be -60 here tonight. There is nothing that could pull me from my house.

I just remember the awkward biology teacher I had who refused to say the word penis but then we coaxed him into it and he had a near nervous breakdown. Well he explained in great length all the various parts of the anatomy. He then ended it with, "So guys, that's how they disappear when it gets cold." Sorry to hear that you had that conversation with a sibling, thank god I am an only child.

No problem about the response. I thought it was high time to reply when you have commented on my site.

  • @SpongeBobScaredyPants -

I suppose that illiteracy one is how we are winning over the hearts and minds of the Afghanis and Iraqis. I have seen photos of g.i.s reading playboys with Iraqis so I guess it's all good. That clown car one is the Duggar family. I can't remember much about them other than they have like 19 children all by natural means and supposedly they are getting their own reality series. I might actually watch that because I was an only child so it would make me appreciate how I grew up. Also I want to watch to get better knowledge of a local Amish family who have 22 kids.

We have so much snow. It's piled up on the sides of my driveway so high that it probably comes up to my chest. I like snow but not when I have to shovel. The other night we had a fresh fall and the sky was clear for the full moon so it made everything an eerie blue color and made it brighter out at night. I could drive around without my headlights.

I didn't get to see much of Carson as I was a little kid when he went off the air but I can remember staying up on Friday nights just to see his opening monologue and those first gags as Carnack. He usually did something like that on Friday. I always thought he was great and then he was replaced by Leno and I still can't stand him. I was happy to see that he had decided to retire but just last month or so it was announced that NBC was going to give him a new show thus eliminating any primetime show at 9PM. Oh this is central time...next year Leno is at 9, Conan replaces Leno at 10:30 and then Jimmy Fallon at 11:30. I think NBC went this direction because CBS and ABC were making plays for Leno.

The weatherman said that tonight the windchill could get down to -60. They won't come out until spring if I go out.

Uh...took me a while to think of other things she's good at...football, she loves football and wants to get affiliated with the NFL either as a commissioner, general manager, or team owner. She can just stay away from Green Bay but I'm sure they'd love her in Detroit...it couldn't get much worse.

  • @SladeTheGreyFox -

It's cold and getting colder. I got this in my inbox this morning from the national weather service: ...BRUTAL COLD AND DANGEROUS WIND CHILLS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...ONE OF THE COLDEST AIRMASSES OF THE DECADE WILL POUR INTO THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY TODAY...AND BECOME ENTRENCHED OVER THE AREA TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY. OVERNIGHT...TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO PLUMMET...BOTTOMING OUT BETWEEN 20 AND 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 10 MPH WILL CONTINUE...SENDING WIND CHILLS TO 50 TO 60 DEGREES BELOW ZERO FOR MUCH OF THE AREA. DAYTIME HIGHS ON THURSDAY WILL ONLY REACH 5 TO 10 DEGREES BELOW ZERO...WHILE WINDS CONTINUE AT 10 MPH. WIND CHILLS ON THURSDAY MAY IMPROVE BACK TOWARD 20 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO...ONLY TO FALL BACK BELOW 35 DEGREES BELOW ZERO AS AIR TEMPERATURES BOTTOM OUT ONCE AGAIN FROM 20 TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO THURSDAY NIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON...AIR TEMPERATURES WILL WARM BACK ABOVE ZERO...WITH IMPROVING WIND CHILLS.

I am thinking my tv is going to be calling the next few days because schools will be closed.

  • @methodElevated -

Thanks I love these and I swear that these are better than any of the ones I actually see. Whenever I see one I am going to think of that 37 one.

Yeah -2 sounds good right now. I just got a call from the water department of my city hall telling me that it is advisable that I leave all my water faucets at a slow trickle so the pipes won't freeze. They said that they won't charge for the extra water usage this month.

  • I love the "vagina" one... that little kid picking his nose cracks me up and distracts me from the creepiness of this freakin' family.

Seriously, the girls all have the same hairstyle, the boys all have the same haircut, that one young girl is wearing the same shirt pattern as the older girl, three boys are wearing red shirts... *shivers*

How on earth do these people go anywhere?  I mean, did they have to buy a decommissioned school bus or something?

  • @Egregious_Deviant_Zebra -

There was a professor at a state university in Mankato, MN that made a website to teach his class that you couldn't trust everything you found on the internet. The website has drawn many visitors to Mankato during the winter and they ask why isn't the city enclosed in a dome or why aren't there any hot springs heating this city. They read the website and believed it to be true. Here it is. It's a good laugh after living near there for 8 years.

  • @ithiliya -

The cable station that airs John and Kate Plus 8 and the Little People Big World are going to have a series about this family, The Duggars. I think they are some religious fanatics because the girls all have ankle length dresses as well. All their children have been through natural child birth. I had a high school classmate that when he started the year he lived in Wisconsin but the state wouldn't let his family adopt any more children because they hit the max, they moved to West Virginia so that they could adopt more. I think they had 17 kids. I don't even think I could want 1.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - *shivers, and not because of the cold*

Neither do I.  In a hundred years, our population will have doubled because of these 17 kids.  All because their parents kept popping them out like they were collecting them.  Like I said, creepy.

I think they're Mormon, by the way.  I thought Catholics were the stereotypical Energizer bunnies?

  • I'm deathly afraid of clowns, but I love you so much that I got through the rest of this post! Warn me next time!! I'm gonna have bad dreams now.

  • @ithiliya -

Well here's how messed up it is where my place is. I live across the street from the city library and also on that block are the projects which are low income housing which is inhabited by mainly those that are mentally stable to take care of themselves. Then down the block from me is a Kwik Trip gas station and deli and bakery. On the other side of my block is a Baptist church that once was a funeral home. Anyway I watch those Baptists because they have evening services and they cut through my lawn to go over to the projects because there is also a few basketball and tennis courts. Anyway they are all dressed like that family.

That show is on The Learning Channel and is called 17 Kids and Counting. They had their 18th(pictured) on December 18th. According to wikipedia they are Baptists but follow something called Quiverfull read that and you'll see why they have so many kids.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - As bad as the weather has been here, I know it's worse where you are.  What size are your balls now in this balls-shriveling cold?  They must be the size of peas by now.  And probably just as crinkled as dried peas too.  In this kind of weather, you don't even feel like going out looking for babes.  (Of course I gave that up many, many failures ago.)

  • @spicyhotcoffee -

I don't enjoy clowns either. Thanks for sticking it out for me. I will most definitely warn you when I post clowns. Curious...did you get my email?

  • @curiousdwk -

Well I have these two lumps in my throat...you know I have noticed that when it gets this cold, that the desire to go out and find a female tends to go away. I think it is some built in shame mechanism that goes with shrinkage.

  • Is that a CAT in that boy's crotch? WTF!!

Its also supposed to get cold as balls over here too!

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Thanks! And yea I did, I just wrote ya back, go check. It was really sweet, I had to let it marinate...lol.

  • @theladyofabundance -

I think that is a cat but I question if it is living. If it is alive, it definitely isn't happy. At first I thought you were talking about the pic underneath the little kid with the cat.

  • Love your signs.  Girls - maybe some day I'll get to touch one.  I really laughed at the Vagina - no a clown car.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - Riiiight... "blessings from God" my entire ass.

    That is some strong KoolAid.

  • What's funny is that the soldier is holding the cartboard sign too... That happens when you send teenagers into war!

  • @nattata -

That is true. When I was teaching high school an army recruiter frequently made visits. We had some private conversations because I was a counselor for sophomores and that is the year when they start setting in motion their plans for college. Anyway he said that when he comes to my school, he is looking for the type of kid that could be an officer because 95% of the graduating class goes to college. HE then told me that when he goes to public schools, he looks for the kids that are the dumbest, that have no shot at college or tech school. It's sort of sad. I have something for my links entry this evening about a military recruiter.
