  • Tournament of Randomcity Winner

    After many weeks of voting the winner of the Tournament of Randomocity has been decided and the winner is....

    (You know I should have just found a track of a drum roll instead of holding down Enter)

    CAT!





    Thanks for all who voted. A cat winning a tournament that had Pink Floyd, Darth Vader, and ice cream is a true testament to the democratic process.

    I will be working on my next tournament sometime in the upcoming weeks.  I am tentatively calling it Battle of the Bands.  I look to have four brackets but I haven't determined how to group them. I think I have one bracket determined but I am still iffy.  I need 128 bands which shouldn't be that hard but if any one has a band they want to see in the Battle of the Bands let me know.  Stay tuned for further details.

    Well I don't need the NFL Network to tell me that... ;) I honestly think if Harvin can keep his discipline, then he could be another playmaker we need on the passing attack. You know, turning that little screen pass into a huge gain...

    As for the bands...  I got to see at least ONE of these: BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, RUSH, LENE LOVITCH, DIE MONSTER DIE, LUSH, DEPECHE MODE, DEAD KENNEDYS, DURAN DURAN, THE CURE, THE PRETENDERS, and/or a slew of other 80s bands in the mix.

    I don't think I have voted since the first rounds so this was an interesting outcome. Maybe it is because my cat is so photogenic and she packs a gun.

    I was planning on having Dead Kennedys and Rush but thanks for those others. I will have to get them on the list. I always wish I could have seen Dead Kennedys but I settled for hearing Jello Biafra speak at the University of Wisconsin a week or so after Baghdad fell to the U.S. In fact, he released a cd of that show.

    Yeah she is real badass. I tried to explain to my mom how this cat had a beard and every time my mom looks at her she looks for this beard and she can't understand what I am talking about.

    For the sake of my life I am so very happy that the cat won.

    My cats love boxes and rugs and of course guns. I have noticed that about cats as well. They always have to get into boxes. I was thinking that maybe it dated back to the age of the Egyptians when they would put them in the tombs with the pharaohs. I know cats still act entitled because they remember that they were worshiped by the Egyptians.

    Yeah the cat with the beard is Lua and my other cat is Kiki. She is the most active cat I have ever seen. I don't think she sleeps. A few nights ago I wasn't paying attention to her and then she comes running through my den and all of a sudden she comes to a stop and then jumps to the top of the door. She had to pull herself up but she had to jump at least 6 feet. They keep me entertained.
