  • LOL. Hymen Safe. Whew. Good to know. Why iz you disappointed? :/

  • @FallenReign -

Yeah that one has been a favorite especially since the pope spoke out against using them to stop the AIDS epidemic in Africa.

  • @MrsMok -

You know that one took me awhile to get the connection. Red Sea...oh my god. Just life and stuff catching up with me is getting me down.

  • ROFLMAOSMIPIMP!

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

It would have been better if it was tampons and not pads. rofl. otay, well keep your head up dude:)

  • Okay, I have to post something -- LOL HAHAHA!! ... And, btw, that is a really awesome cover of "Beautiful"...

  • Great hilarity! =]

I got a good little chuckle from some of these!

  • Haha. Thanks for making me laugh when I needed it. I hope things get better for you soon.

  • @kachino -

Hmmm I don't think I know what that one stands for.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

ROFLMAOSMIPIMP -> Rolling On the Floor Laughing My Ass Off So Much I Peed In My Pants?

  • @CanadianConspiracy -

I was surprised I haven't had any attacks for some of those.

  • @mZdejavuZ -

Thanks, I thought it was time I shared these. Oh and that cover is by a band named Clem Snide. I don't know why I didn't put their name in the box but anyway CLEM SNIDE. Great band. I love that version better than the original. I saw them a couple of months ago and they played it.

  • @sle21408 -

    Thanks...I had to share

  • @ChocolatMenier -

I was in near tears from laughter when I first saw that Fresh Prince spoof.

  • @LUNAPHIA -

Thanks, I am getting better slowly but surely

  • @crystal_air -

Thank you! That e-harmony one is so funny and what makes it funnier is that someone actually wrote that.

  • @jacksoncroons -

Well then I guess the post was worth it

  • @kachino -

OK, I couldn't figure it out. Thanks for helping me understand so that I too may use that abbreviation.

  • I wouldnt mind some sin soap! And a Moses Maxi! Nothing like parting the red sea....

  • @theladyofabundance -

I still can't believe I missed that. There was a soap line, I think it was called Dirty Girl. The only reason I know is in my tourist town one summer my boss opened a bath and body store and he was understaffed so I had to work there. I think one of those soaps was something like Sinfully Sizzling.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -You are most welcome. =]

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Thanks for letting me know! I've never heard of them, but from this cover, they seem pretty talented... :) Yeah, this cover is actually better than the original!

  • @mZdejavuZ -

Yes they are. I have seen them a couple times now. The lead singer, Eef Barzely(awesome name), has a couple solo albums as well.

I have some of their other songs in my audio blog.

Let's Explode I think that is my favorite song, the first line always just blows my mind.

Jews for Jesus Blues I love their sound, it has a mix of rock and country but not pop country or pop rock. I used to live in Minneapolis and that style of music is often called the Minneapolis Sound.

Simple Man This is a Lynyrd Skynrd cover. I like Clem Snide's version better.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Whoa, the lyrics for "Let's explode" are really good... LOL yeah after you told me the name of the group, I looked up some of their songs, and the ones that I listened to (so far, on myspace music) reminded me a bit of Counting Crows, especially his voice... I know their styles are different, but it was the first band that came to mind. Or maybe I don't have a wide enough range of music knowledge... =P... But wow, Simple Man (their cover) is such an amazing song.... Thanks for sharing that with me! :) That's awesome...

  • @mZdejavuZ -

I can see the connection to Counting Crows, especially their early work. Some other bands you might want to check out that have a similar sound would be The Jayhawks and Cloud Cult. I could go on for hours about Cloud Cult. The coolest thing about seeing them live is that during the show they have an artist(the lead singer's wife) come on stage and make a painting that at the end of the show is auctioned off and the money goes to charity.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Yes definitely their earlier stuff... I haven't listened to their recent work, so I don't know how much their style has changed since then... But thanks for telling me about those other bands. Where do you find them?? LOL, I'm constantly trying to find new music and different bands -- I either go to Pandora or Slacker Radio to find new music. Oh, and that's pretty cool that the lead singer's wife come on stage and did a painting for charity. That reminds me of something I saw a while back - Paint Jam! and Lisa Wong Pageant Contestant

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Oh yeah, it's funny, because I just listened to Counting Crows last night - one of my favorite songs of theirs is "Colorblind".

  • @mZdejavuZ -

I heard of The Jayhawks simply because they are from Minneapolis and have been on the scene forever or so it seems and they have brilliant music. Cloud Cult was sort of a fluke actually. Some high school classmates of mine have a band called The Umbrella Sequence(they can be found on myspace) and there was this show at a hallowed concert venue called First Avenue. If you have ever seen the classic movie with Prince called Purple Rain, well all the concert footage was shot at First Avenue. Anyway it was this all day concert that was like a protest against the war. Well, these guys I knew played one of the first sets and they encouraged me to stick around. Cloud Cult played and for that show they had four artists working on paintings during their set. It was awesome. Minneapolis has a pretty good music scene and during the bitterly cold winter the major acts shy away so the local bands get a the spotlight. Another couple of favorite bands are Kid Dakota(the guitarist/lead singer is pretty cool we spent a long time talking after a show) and Big Ditch Road. Oh and Cloud Cult was featured in an advertising campaign for esurance. I thought that was cool. I also caught them on the weather channel because of how they make their cases for CDs. They ask people to send in cases that they don't use anymore and they "recycle" them. The record label they started is one of the first green labels in America if not the world...see I told you I could dote on them. I will have to check out those sites. What I like to do for music is going to myspace and seeing what bands are listening to or some of their influences. And here's some concert footage of Cloud Cult, that's one of my favorite songs and you can see the painting.

  • Thanks for the chuckles

  • @curiousdwk -

No problem, thanks for stopping by.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Wow, that's pretty awesome that you were able to check out some pretty cool bands and meet with some of them. More bands and record labels should do what Cloud Cult is doing with the whole green movement. Or maybe, instead of producing plastic for CD cases and such, they should consider using corn instead. It's better for the environment and biodegradable. Yeah, I check out my music on myspace too, and check out some of the featured playlists. Hey, Cloud Cult is pretty good. I like how they collaborate with the violin and cello. I went to an orchestra concert for my birthday, and it was amazing... Orchestra instruments are amazing...

  • @mZdejavuZ -

Yeah I wish more bands would incorporate the orchestra into their music. Coldplay has and I so has Radiohead...just two off the top of my head. OK another thing with Cloud Cult...hope you aren't getting sick of hearing about them...is that all the members will play multiple instruments through out the show. It is hard to say this guy is the guitarist and he is the drummer and she is cellist. It's so unique. Wikipedia has an excellent name for their style of music...baroque pop.

Hmmm I haven't heard of corn being used for cases. It doesn't surprise me as it seems that corn is being used for everything these days.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Whoa, really? They play multiple instruments? Wow, they're really talented... That's awesome. The new Coldplay album is pretty good. You have good taste in music!
