Lukewarm Links
So expect to see a few of these over the next couple of days. I have been lazy and have been letting my links collect. Well maybe not too lazy but just swamped.
Have you ever read something and afterward felt like you could create something much better? Well here are 6 writers who crapped out masterpieces. I love that Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is on that list. Cracked created a sexual harassment PSA. I never saw one of those for any of my jobs but I remember catching a horrible PSA about the dangers of porn one night on TCM. If that wasn't terrifying enough here is a list of 10 ads that traumatize children. I will have nightmares tonight.
A former student sent me this link to a site that you draw a pig and they determine your personality based on the drawing. I haven't done it yet but I can imagine what will be said about myself however I can't draw with pencils let alone a mouse.
Whenever I go to KFC, I sneak out with a supply of extra sporks. Sporks rock! Well someone created a Venn diagram(am I a nerd for loving those?) that shows the grand unification of cutlery. I MUST HAVE!
I found this blog interesting. People send in photos of their refrigerators. It really does bring in thoughts about that old say, "You are what you eat."
I enjoyed Angels and Demons, the novel, and have yet to see the movie. I think I will wait for a DVD rental. Anyway I was fascinated with the ambigram. Here is a site that lets you create your own.
So this guy has collected a list of everthing that he and his girlfriend fight about. He is such a dick but it is amusing and some of them make my thankful to be single. Wait, did I just say that?
Do you know how the shoes you wear got its name? Well mentalfloss put together a list of 9 shoes and how they got their name. And here I thought ADIDAS simply got their name because it stood for All Day I Dream About Sports(or Sex).
A couple years ago I got about 1000 emails of a picture that had different scenes in it that were to determine the name of bands for instance a jalapeno was on fire therefore it stood for Red Hot Chili Peppers. Anyway here is a new one, this time it invokes the titles of movies.
Here's a fun website. They give you a drawing of a penis and then you draw it to make it look not like a penis. It sounds complicated but the results are quite funny.
I opened this website about spiders and then I started to have a panic attack. I hate spiders. They aren't to be messed with.
Some one took the laws of physics and applied them to cats. They are so true.
Remember how fanny packs were the huge fad years back? Well now someone is trying to market a fanny pack for your head. This will be the wave of the future.
The name of this blog is Maybe You Shouldn't Buy That but since we are in an economic crisis, maybe you should buy that.
Some really smart guys actually put a lot of time and research into this topic: Is a Terminator Scenario Possible? The results might surprise you. I can't believe people are putting effort into that question but of course look at what sci-fi of the past has given us today.
Do you smell? Do you want soap but sick of the same old bar or body wash? Well here are some unique bars of soap. So many of those can result in naughtiness.
Well expect a couple more of these throughout the weekend. I have enough links for about 4 more posts.

how do you get all these?
they should cutt off their balls
Loved the Draw a Pig site. You should do it. It was interesting.
2 eProps for the work. Real comments later because I'm just too tired mentally, TGIF!
Yay! More links... more links!
splayd? lmao! love it!

Stumbleupon.com is a good place to look. I have people hear on Xanga send them to me although none of these were sent from Xangans. I have a couple former students send stuff to me. Emails from people. Attuworld has a lot of links too.

I think I will when I can step back and take a breath.

Also and a couple of those sites are everyday visits like mentalfloss and cracked.com

Mental fatigue is killer. A close second is this sunburn I got today.
@RestlessButterfly -
Thanks...I hope you enjoy these because I will have more tomorrow

I wonder if people see those will they try to market that product...I would buy a splayd. I probably would also buy a spife and a knork just for the name.

Yeah, still a bit tired. Going to take it easy today...
I'm such a cat person, I enjoyed the link to the cat physics. The cat I adopted is horrible about messing up the bathroom or kitchen rug. Im always dragging it back into place! However the other cats, are pretty cool about it at my parents house... then again, they dont have many rugs.
I dont plan on turning into the crazy cat person... but yeah, Im glad to be single most days.
And a fanny pack for your head... lets just say, they are unattractive as it is. It always seems to me especially, those people who wear them... are the last folks who should.
I heard Adidas aslo used to be the name of a demon that raped women. I always thought, why did they name a shoe after that?

One of my cats loves rugs and she will bunch them up and make a nest and sleep there. It is so odd seeing her sleeping in front of my refrigerator. I had to get a new rug for my bathroom because whenever I dried one of my rugs she would proceed to use it as her bed and I could never put in the bathroom. Every time I would go to get it, she would run and lay on it.
I saw a couple of people wearing fanny packs at the casino this weekend. I can't believe people haven't received the memo that they aren't appropriate. Wearing a fanny pack is about as cool as wearing knee high black socks with sandals.
Nike is the Greek word for victory. When I read my Greek Bible and read about Christ winning the victory for mankind, I have developed a mental picture of Jesus wearing Nike sneakers.
@godfatherofgreenbay - *LOL* Jesus wearing Nike? Sounds like Kevin Smith should introduce the idea in one of his films. Speaking of movies... Transformers comes out today! Are you going to go see it?
Yeah... cats are...funny. Most recently my youngest cat enjoys the bath tub and the sink. She also likes leaping from the bottom of the bathtub to the sink. An activity my older cats and their fat bellies tend to avoid. The other day, while I was in her way... brushing my teeth... she lept out of the tub and punched me in the butt. She has this thing about launching her entire body at me. She got me pretty good when I was sleeping too... she turned into a missle and clocked me in the face.

I don't know if I will go to the theater to see Transformers although the idea of sitting in a movie theater that is kept at like 65 degrees during the summer is quite appealing. I waited until the first one came out on DVD and I wasn't thrilled. I am more anxious for Public Enemy because a lot of that was filmed around where I live.
Cats...your youngest cat sounds a lot like my two. They don't like it when I sleep. One will sit by me and cry until I wake up. Then I pet her and she leaves. I fall asleep and she comes back to cry. They both love playing in the bathtub after I shower. I think maybe that is why their coats are so shiny. Lately they haven't been sleeping on me but that's good because the aches I would have were incredible. One sleeps on the back of my neck and the other sleeps in the small of my back.
Oh and I think Jesus is sneakers has already been done or something similar. Married with Children did a story-line where Al had a vision from God and he saw God's sandals and then he created a shoe that was supposed to look exactly like God's foot.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Ugh, the heat is keeping me indoors as well. We have a massive heat index and warning across the state for people to use caution in their daily activities. I want so much to do something outside... but its sweltering and sticky.
My cat digs the shower afterwards too! They are so goofy! Have you ever heard yours chatter at birds? Its like cat barking or something. And they are horrible at making you get out of bed early, then they take over the bed once you leave... and assume to sleep themselves. I always like to wake them up when they nap... its payback!
@theladyofabundance -
Yeah today it is only 95 but the humidity isn't that bad.
One of my cats chirps like a bird. She doesn't do the normal meow but she makes this chirps and tweets. The other's meow is so high pitch that it wakes me out of a deep sleep and when she was in heat she barked and I thought it was because the people I got them from had a dog and they were mimicking the dog. Oh yeah my cats get payback. I wake them from naps each time they wake me.
