Motivation
It was hot today. The thermometer topped off at 102F, that's 39C for my metric friends. I finished my recent writing project today. You can see the specs in my last pulse. Tomorrow I will print it off for proofreading because I can't proofread worth a damn on a computer screen. Anyway, this heat is sapping my energy. Here's your weekly dose of motivation.
Of course with being in a cool place all day, I now have a rattle in my lung. Great! Hey, advice for future parents or current parents DO NOT SMOKE AROUND YOUR CHILDREN! My dad with me and my lungs are fucked. So help me if you smoke near your children I will kick you in the junk or punt you in the c...this heat is making me aggressive.
Time to celebrate finishing my project.

39C!? WOW! That's hot! Oh man, so many great ones here. Voyeurism, Life Sucks, Your Hand, Over Kill, Procrastination...
That really made my day. LOL
that Nazi pic is awesome lol (and here i always thought that Brooklyn was the correct answer for the birthplace of break dancing... damn who knew! lmao)
I love this! Thanks for the comment about that poem i wrote about mario
These were ALL great today! Happy Wednesday, darlin' - hope the weather's more forgiving.
Wow what heat! We got 78F today - pheeeeew. Nice Motivation for the day! I love the parenting one - I might consider that when mine are being a pain in the ass! lol
Aren't we all just a little too dirty inside? By the way, awesome post! Love it!
Very creative!

When I first saw 39C and you said that's hot, I thought, "When did I tell him about my ex?" Anyway this heat plays tricks on a person's mind. I think the best is the one with the dog.
@KimOngJr -
Well I am glad to be a help
@choralone -
You would never think break-dancing originated in WWII in the city of Koln...oops Cologne.

Thank you and that poem was excellent. It just took me a bit to realize it was Mario
@jacksoncroons -
Thank you...yeah it is supposed to top off at 95 so about 10 degrees cooler.

I enjoy the weather when it is in the 70s. What makes this unbearable is the humidity. I can't remember all the scientific facts but it makes it feel hotter than what it is. So 102 felt like 110. Then of course in the winter it can be 0F and feel like -40F with the winds. That parenting one...I have always thought posting a photo like that may be a good deterrent for unruly behavior.

So I guess I was way off on what I was thinking about...oh well, I'll blame on the heat messing with my mind. Thank you!
@RestlessButterfly -
Thank you! These are some of my favorite type of photos now.
I think the heat is why I've been so grumpy lately too. It really does effect peoples moods. Love the picture about the fining after you've died. guess they are going to rifle threw your clothes to get that fine?
@NightlyDreams -
I have heard of EMTs performing wallet-ectomies.
I lol'ed

HAHA, huh, tell me more about your ex
.
So my favorite one is the Dr. Phil one. That dog is so cute! I think I say that every time you post a dog. Never seen such threats from you!
That is funny.
@Olyachka -
Then my mission is accomplished.

I do like that sugarcoat saying in the Dr. Phil one. Normally I am level-headed but when it gets to be triple digits in the heat I get a little crazy.

Yeah, I love those de-motivational posters.
I love 'em. Especially the Voyeurism and the Life Sucks.
I have always been in favor of cage training your toddler. It seems much kinder than a choke collar.
I love those posters!!!
Your motivational musings are always a joy, but this time it was the text that caught my attention. I'm wondering... was the 102 regular temp or with heat index included? It was in the upper nineties here yesterday, but with heat index it was 110. Thank GOD it rained in the late evening and cooled things off a bit just before sundown. The night before it stayed in the 90's all night long. I also want to chat with you sometime about the smoking around your kids thing. I smoked while I was pregnant and we go outside now, but when I had Mike I smoked around him starting around the 2nd week. So far he doesn't show any signs of damage... when did your issues start showing up? Just a curious and concerned parent here. ttyl! <3 SuZ

Now it 102 was the actual temperature but the official high at the weather station here said 105. We haven't had any rain and last night it was so foggy. I couldn't even see my backyard from my back porch.
My issues started showing up when I was about 2. It wasn't asthma but I was very susceptible to lung colds and viruses. It seemed like every year from age 2-10 I ended up in the hospital with some variation of a serious lung cold. Most of those stays were with the croup and I had to be placed in a tent. That wasn't fun. The doctors also said I was "near asthmatic" but not bad enough that I needed inhalers as a child. Pneumonia is a big concern for me now. It seems like whenever I get a cold I have to treat it right away or the pneumonia will set in a short while. I get bronchitis so often it is unbelievable. Also, coughing up blood is no fun. Currently I have rattles in my lungs of course lately it might be because I once smoked but my lungs were damaged from early age. I have also developed asthma. I don't believe all the dangers of second hand smoke but I do think there is something that can be said about smoking around a child whose lungs are developing. All the smoke can't help and probably slows grows and limits it as well. I think the worst example I have ever seen is a photo of my father holding me in his arms looking at my face and he is holding a cigarette in his lips.
Wow! I'm glad Mike hasn't shown any signs of damage yet (he's 13), but after your story, I'll be sure to not slack off after a short time with Billy. Zeb had lung issues when he was a kid too, so we are watching Billy closely for any signs that he may battle the same issues. So far so good... we'll keep the smoke away from him. Thanks for your detailed input! <3 SuZ

That life sucks one, I got in an email form from a friend who was just married.
@Curse_of_Greyface -
I have made incendiary comments about parents who put their children on leashes. Those kennels are much more humane.
@StephySays -
I've said it before but posters like this would make a trip to the doctor or dentist more enjoyable. I actually understand these more than the motivational posters they have in their offices.
@VioletMoonDancer7 -
I want to come off sound mean and heartless toward smoking but I don't want kids to go through what I went through.
Great post!

Thank you!
