  • Kid Playing Johnny Cash

After seeing something like this, it makes me want to rush out to the store and buy one for myself.

And my pulse about being on MSNBC.  I woke up this morning and was in somewhat of a haze.  I turned on the TV and that is what was on.  They were doing a feature on obesity.  You know the stock footage they use, the ones where they just show the bellies of overweight people.  Well in my haze I swear I saw my belly featured.  Of course they didn't show my legs or face just the fuel tank for my love machine.  Well I got pissed and in my sleepy state I went to my computer and wrote an email to MSNBC.  I haven't received a reply.

  • That little girl rules! I can see it now, a whole line of mix cds with kids singing cool music. None of that kids bop crap.

  • omg....she's ADORABLE!! I luff her! Thanks for making my day.

  • Wow. Much like the time my friend got wasted and decided that CNN was behind all major world happenings and it was a conspiracy, and so dialed 411 at 3:30am and demanded to speak to CNN.

We think now, that they connected him with CBN which is the local christian channel. He cursed them out for several minutes, all about how he knew what they were doing. Legendary.

  • LOL...oh dear..

  • 1.  That was a boy????

    2.  Oh my gosh, my son has that same guitar.  Except without the stickers all over it.  (I know, this has nothing to do with anything.  Forgive me.)

    3.  Do let us know if MSNBC responds.  That's one of my biggest nightmares, seeing my fat ass in some random crowd shot as the lead-in for a story about obesity.  Blecch.

    Have a good night!

  • That video is so adorable... :) ... And, is it really legal to use somebody's photo without their consent?? I thought there were laws against that.

  • How did you know it was your belly?

I think that is a boy or at least that is what all the discussion was on youtube. He sort of looks like Little Lord Fauntleroy. Nonetheless the kid is great. Some of those kidsbop albums contain some strange songs especially that one band that was pop-goth.

  • @Another_Perfect_Wonder -

I love when the kid sings, "I shot a man in Weeno."

CBN? Is that the one with the lady with the huge beehive hairdo and every night she ends up crying and her mascara is all over her face and she looks like a raccoon? Maybe that is TBN, Trinity Broadcasting Network. I think some of those religious stations give Christians a bad name especially the faith "healer" Benny Hinn. I have nothing good to say about that guy.

I hope your friend cursed CNN after 9/11 otherwise in this crazy cooky mixed up terror filled world soemthing like that could get a person in trouble.

#1 I am fairly sure that is a boy but who knows. He sort of looks like Little Lord Fauntleroy. The youtube discussion said it was a boy as does the title of the video so that is what I will believe.

#2. That is quite ok because after you wrote that I remembered a friend in college that had a guitar like that as well. IT was strange because he always got girls by playing songs for them on a kids' guitar.

#3. No reply and I doubt I will get one. It is scary to think that they can take your body and paste it into a package about obesity and they don't need you to sign a release form. I only think that applies when the face is shown.

  • @mZdejavuZ -

He is cute and I hope they put out some more videos of his talent.

It is legal to show bodies without consent but not faces. I don't get that. Also, if you remember Nirvana's album cover for Nevermind it had the little baby swimming for the dollar bill. Well originally the album came out with a black bar over the child's face because the CHILD didn't give consent, just the parents. Yes, even though the parents gave their consent to have their child used on the album cover the kid still had to voice his opinion. Well somehow they declared it to be ok and they took the black bar off. Also in a Foo Fighters video(the drummer from Nirvana is Dave Grohl who sings and plays guitar for Foo Fighters) they have some babies that were used and in the video they have to put black bars over their faces because they didn't give consent. But they can still show guts and butts without consent.

    It was big and jiggling

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Ha! Look at that, she is a little boy!

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

LOL, alright ... if you say so ;)

  • @godfatherofgreenbay -

Sorry for the late reply on this one (didn't get an e-mail notification for this one & several other replies for some reason); I actually had to go fishing! =P Yes, I remember that Nirvana album cover... And, hmmm, that doesn't really make sense that they can show parts of your body but not your face. Technically, parts of your body belong to you as personal property, and therefore require consent. It's the same thing as your face (it's still a part of your body), except your face obviously has a more recognizable identification. That seems like a bunch of BS to me. Anyway, sorry to bring this issue up again. I hope they replied back to you by now.
