Motivation
Babysitting my dad was almost as bad as babysitting a 5 year old. He just runs around and makes noises and asks for a drink of water. He broke two bones in his hand and then his right eye was swollen shut. I don't know why but the first thing I asked was if he cried. He looked at me with his unswollen eye, the eye that had a cornea replacement surgery and then cataract surgery, and said, "Go to hell." We then both laughed. He looks like what Rocky looked like after his bout with Apollo Creed. I was tempted to ask if he wanted me to cut his eye to drain the blood.
I heard part of Conan O'Brien's "In the Year 3000" this evening and it was hilarious. "In the year 3000, Conan O'Brien will admit to having sex with his co-workers, sadly this was when he was self-employed."
I really am beginning to dislike how every professional and collegiate sports program from the state of Michigan is playing for that state and to relieve the pain of the failing economy. OK, Lions, this is all on you. You win the Super Bowl, everything gets fixed. I am campaigning that the Milwaukee Buck have to win the NBA championship because the price of milk has fell out and dairy farmers in this state have been crippled. Oh and speaking of dairy, have you seen those Happy California Cows ads? Those commercials are such bullshit(hehe?) because cows are more productive when the temperature is 40F or lower.
Does anyone remember this website called Myspace?
TBS had a baseball game and to cheer up the state of Michigan for the Tigers' failure to make the baseball playoffs they have currently aired 4 and a half consecutive hours of The Office....oops it finished during my typing.
Here's your weekly dose of motivation:
I am feeling motivated. A few years ago I signed up for a blog radio site and I couldn't get it to work because my microphone worked. Now I am fully operational so I am toying with the idea of doing a once a week audio bong(typo remains). I wonder if I would have any followers. Before I get excited I have to figure out if I can do this.
Well that is it for this week. I'll keep you posted about the radio thing.

Hey, Godfather! I love the Buddy Holly song! I got into his music when the Gary Busey movie about his life came out. Please do keep us posted about the radio thing.
Well, I'M motivated!!!
Love the post-it on the woman's forehead! Years ago I used to write "Dirty" or "Clean" on post-its so the family would know if the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty or clean. My husband would take the "Dirty" sign off and stick it on me! Ha! Funny man!
I, also, like the Britney one, and the "tighten" one! Funny stuff! Thanks for the laughs!!
Your poor Dad. It's funny though that you both got a laugh out of your question. It's an interesting place to be in life...taking care of your parent. I always feel sorry for people who are doing that, AND raising teenagers! Egads!
Okay...the funniest thing, to me, is the Conan line!!!!
Yes, I vaguely remember Myspace.
HUGS, C.
I like how the pictures make your state of mind so clear or not..now I am confused! I've personally and literally tasted the one with "driving - never been so fun before", the fun was on me. But the Titan Uranus part cracked me lol.
Good soldier!
I am over motivated by your pics:)
I'm going to need a lot more than motivation to get moving today. Preferably strong narcotics in the a m and some liquor later on today. Well, this was a start anyways. The pic of the thongs gave me a jolt.
See ya' G.
Hope you and your dad are okay. Do not kill each other please! Hehe… j/K!
If you’re my motivation teacher, I think will be Wild Wicked Butterfly and not Restless Butterfly.
ok how do you manage to find posters that i've never seen before...every time? that's what i wanna knowwww
...and today's favorite of mine is the rescue effort one
the shark picture is a fake.
The Photos one is from Final Destination 2, with the big Highway death. I swear, I freak out if I see a logging truck booking it down the highway or if I hear "Highway to Hell" when I'm driving. Its not a good omen at all.
Man, those kids are White Trash High in the flesh..
By the way, I decided to try out this Freaks and Geeks show that you rave about so much. I got 13 minutes into the pilot and it stopped working. Is there a website I can go to to watch it? I really like it by the way. Weird to know that my dad was a senior in 1980.. and my mom was on her second marriage by then, haha..
How you do something like the first audio clip(and possibly the others but I haven't listened to them yet) is pretty easy these days. I use a program called Audacity. It's a free download and no registration last I checked. Really good program for home use, lets you blend music, voice, an whatever else. As many tracks as you like really. Voice can be a little tricky because people tend to fluctuate volume regularly to emphasize words or whatever. When your recording this often creates a popping sound as it maxes out the mic volume. If you have really good equipment some of that can be avoided but it's best to just learn how to maintain the same volume if your trying to sound excited as you would if you were sounding normal.
Macs are the best for sound and video editing but alas I just use a PC.
On the mind control topic you can research frequencies an such and put those behind your tracks. They can make the mind more open to suggestion and you can tap into the subconscious mind with some of those. I believe the FCC has made it illegal to use some of these in marketing but I haven't looked into that in a bit. Brainwave generator is one program that allows you to set frequencies but you have to get the paid version to actually record stuff outside of the program and make audio files. I was using it more in my research on sound healing... till I ran out of money. blah. I think I was on the edge of some pretty big breakthroughs though, stuff I haven't seen anyone else trying. Anyway... all that aside, get audacity, it's a great program.
(I used to work in radio
Hope that's helpful.
If you have more questions about stuff just message me.
Oh an you can also alter your voice with that program.
Snaps your pops. How'd he break his hand?
Also Conan=comedy genius
Thongs=suck. Lol.
Myspace? Man I haven't logged into myspace in months!
And are you thinking of doing like audio blogs? That'd be cool.
radio is fun.
Mmmm...thongs, lol.
Hope your dad is going to be OK. Man, those pictures are hilarious ... Titan Uranus HAHAHAHA
I hope your dad is okay. What happened to him? Did he fall? Or get in a fight with the landlord? Or your mother?
Love the motivation pictures. The thongs in life, the post-it note babe, the fun driving, etc.
Thanks.
I love your blogs they always have the best pictures!
lmao...titan uranus...
and can't...stop...staring...at...thong pic...
@carolinaatnight -
That is interesting you bring up Gary Busey. It wasn't long after that movie when he had his accident and then went crazy. My dad loved Buddy Holly so I heard a lot his stuff growing up. I still need to get to the crash site in February.
Hmmm I like that thing your husband did with the post-it note. I may have to remember that for future use.
Yesterday was a rough day with him because he was so demanding and it reminded me of watching a 5 year old. I had no energy last night nor did I feel funny.
@windoftheforest -
I have never been on the receiving end of that driving one but have been on the giving end. It was an accident but it made me laugh cruelly after I realized that I drenched the person. I hope it wasn't you.
Trying to read my mind?
@PeaceSearcher -
so is overly motivated a good thing?
@dikdoktor -
I am gathering that people enjoyed the thong one. I loved it as well but more for the saying. I'm weird like that. Hopefully you can get the chemicals you need to get you going.
@RestlessButterfly -
Well I can't make any promises about killing. I'll just say that last night I was exhausted after caring for him but then today he made me tired all over again because he lost his cars keys so I had to take time off and drive him everywhere.
My wild, wicked butterfly...I like that.
@Peridot21 -
I either make these or find them when searching for demotivational pictures of posters. Some of these have the web address on them if you would like to check out more.
@BranmacFeabhail -
Yeah, I know it's a fake. I'm not sure about the National Geographic part. Maybe they were duped. Either way I think it is a funny picture. It reminds me of fly-fishing.
@twistedmistletoe -
You know what, I have never seen those Final Destination movies. I guess they never appealed to me. I may have to check them out one of these weekends.
Oh and Highway to Hell...I played that most every time I got back to my college town after being at home. I think hell will be like life out in the Little House on the Prairie area.
The funny thing about those white trash kids is that was their senior picture for the yearbook. I remember seeing that somewhere before and both the guy and the girl used the same photo. My mom would have killed me if I did something like that for my senior photo.
This is the site where I get the links to the videos: Freaks and Geeks. From there they give you multiple links for the episodes some of which can be seen on youtube but broken into 5 parts. I either use the ones from megavideo or google video.
That is interesting that your parents are about the same age as the people portrayed in the show. I was born in 1980 so whatever that means.
@afuncynicalbash -
I will have to give that site a visit. I am just looking for something tantamount to a radio program that people can listen to any time they wish.
That mind control stuff fascinates me. I remember growing up reading comic books and how they would have mind control books available and one of the selling points was that by using the product one could get girls to like them. I have also wondered how prevalent this is in the voodoo practice of making people zombies.
As for the list you gave me. I have tried a few of those, especially the meditation and cooking new things.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
He broke his hand falling down at a gas station. He was stepping up and had his hand on this pillar and it slipped and down he fell.
I remembered myspace when I got an email from a college friend asking me if I ever used it anymore. I fear all the requests that are waiting for me.
Yeah I am thinking of an audio blog, like a once a week thing. Just something to help me live out my fantasy of doing radio. Right now I think it is the easiest fantasy for me to fulfill.
As for the thongs...I wouldn't know, I've never worn one but that's because I don't think they make them in my size.
@spicyhotcoffee -
yes...mmm...exactly. How have you been?
@kachino -
Yeah, he is slowly healing. His eye doesn't look so bad today but it is still pretty bad.
The first time I saw that Titan Uranus I laughed so hard.
@curiousdwk -
Yeah my dad is getting better. I think his ego took a greater hit. Apparently he slipped and fell. He was holding this post at a gas station and lost his footing and fell.
That driving one is hilarious but of course it probably isn't hilarious to be on the receiving end.
@rickystar1 -
Well thank you very much
@Chinese_Sait0u -
That thong one definitely makes the eyes bulge among other things.
@godfatherofgreenbay - I'm sorry you had such a rough day with your Dad. Before we moved to where we are now, I spent a lot of time with my MIL. She can get grouchy, too.
Yah, I'm a bit too young to have been into Buddy Holly, but saw the movie and thought Gary Busey did a good job in it. I've been to the memorial or statue thingee about Buddy Holly in TX.
@godfatherofgreenbay -
Oh, I already have them. It's just a matter of how much to do at times and the way to do them. I've been good for over 2 years now, I'm staying away from pointy objects.
@godfatherofgreenbay - aw poor guy.
yeah myspace is just a whole bunch of people friending you because they want you to listen to their crappy music.
and totally audio blog. doing radio is fun. I did a lot of fun radio stuff in college so I like audio blogging...I haven't done one lately... but it's fun.
and thongs...they're uncomfortable. and I'm sure you'd be able to find one in your size. lol. you'd be surprised.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
I find that weird sometimes how people just go about asking to be your friend on myspace and facebook. It's just awkward.
I have had some ideas and gags for a while now so I will have to break them out in a radio blog thing.
I really don't think I want a thong especially if you claim they are uncomfortable.
Yeah seriously. I think it is especially weird when random people try to add you on facebook. I have TOO much personal stuff on facebook to add randoms.
Also cool beans I'm interested in what kind of audio you'll produce.
And yeah I don't think you'd like wearing a thong.
@godfatherofgreenbay - Overly motivated by your THONG Poster can lead me to wash room ................:)
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
I befriended fake celebrities on facebook because one of my fakes was shut down. It ticked me off so I went on a spree to alert the facebook authorities but I never alerted them. But I think the weirdest thing is asking people to be friends simply because they play one of the same games as you do. I am half expecting Xanga to offer those games in the future.
Well if you read my blog, probably more of the same. I was thinking of doing dramatic reading of erotica or reading erotica like one would read an instruction manual for assembly of a bookshelf.
What facebook games do you play?
Like farmville or something.
my friend jess is obsessed with sorority life. All my friends are obsessed with those gamesn mob wars or something, yoville, farmville, etc...they always try to get me to join...but I say no. I already spend too much bloody time on the internet to then become addicted to a game.
lol.
And oh my gosh. That would be hilarious if you did a post like that. Also...I think if you did a reading of your my girl post, it would be hilarious.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
I got hooked on that Mafia Wars and then there is one called Superhero Alliance or something like that. It is basically the same style of game play but instead of mafia it is superheroes.
I have heard a lot of people here are into that Sorority Life. I am sort of anxious to get a request just to see what the hype is all about.
Those girl posts were some I thought of reading. Also have you seen the Drunk History videos? I was going to do my own but with just audio.
lol. sounds fun. now you of course must tell me what superhero you play as.
so you have to be invited to join sorority life? oh my gosh like real life! lol.
and yes most definitely you need to read the my girl posts. reading them to myself was hilarious enough, adding your voice to them will take them to the next level. and no I have not seen the drunk history videos. I can youtube them.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
So the app is Superhero Alliance and my name is Wurm. I am ranked 1132...whatever that means.
I don't really go out of my way to find apps. I just read the description when someone sends me a request.
So do I read the girl posts in the rapper style voice or do I read them in my regular voice? Drunk History may be on youtube but I know for sure it is on Funny or Die.
wurm? you're an odd one.
and rapper style? lol. I dunno...I was just imagined in my head a super smooth...like....barry white...billy dee williams...ahahahahahahahahahahah.
and I looooove funny or die. I remember the first time I saw the landlord I thought I was going to diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
Yes...Wur...that was a nickname given to me in college and my friends still call me that.
OK super smooth like Barry White. That is how I will go.
That Landlord bit was funny even if it was Will Ferrell
ah. ok.
my friends still call me a nick name from the 8th grade dude. seriously. it's okay it's not like it's a bad one.
and yes. super smooth.
ow!
lol.
also bad cop baby cop was hilarious.
You know what? I think your dad lost his car key on purpose – just to drives you crazy.
He certainly drives you up the wall, isn’t he? ~Hak~Hak~Hak~ (~Evil laugh from Vampire B-Fly).
I love your dad!
@RestlessButterfly -
Yes, I think he does things like that purposely so it drives me insane and then the questions he asks me. I think that he thinks I am mentally impaired. He asked me the other day if I knew how to pick apples.
Hahaha! Quite interesting kind of loves that you of two shares.
@godfatherofgreenbay -
Good to hear. As for mind control an such, it does work. You can pick up chicks using some basic psychology, it works. I've used it to get numbers simply to prove a point to friends.
@godfatherofgreenbay -
Hope his eye is going to be OK.
