Motivation
Why am I posting at 4:30AM? Well the snow, it's so peaceful. I was watching it and reading and about 8PM I collapse and fall asleep. I wake up around 10 and felt groggy and then I had this scare that maybe with all the snow my vents on the furnace were covered so I was getting carbon monoxide poisoning. I go outside and shovel around the area but it was nowhere near being covered, I was just tired. I came back in and went back to sleep. I wake up at 3AM because my cats are crawling all over me. I think there is about 10 inches of snow on the ground now. The plows aren't out and I've noticed most all the schools in the area are closed. I think this means I get to work on my Festivus list of grievances. Truly another Festivus miracle. Happy Festivus, for the rest of us.

I am thinking of starting a new band. It's going to be a tribute band to Creedance Clearwater Revival. I think people should be made aware of that band's contributions to the world of rock music. The pending name of my band is Creedance Clearwater Revival Revival...CCRR.
The Cialis ad says to call a doctor. if you lose your hearing or sight. Well, with the women I have sex with, that might be a plus.
What goes up, must go down. That's why I toss my dates in the air. And if it wasn't meant to be eaten, it wouldn't be shaped like a taco.
All I want for Christmas are model planes. Not because they're a hobby of mine, but because huffing glue is a hobby of mine.

I am getting reports of a major snowball fight transpiring at the University of Wisconsin but the news agencies in Madison can't report it because they have no 4WD vehicles. Here's where I step in and offer my services. THE PEOPLE MUST HAVE NEWS! THE FOURTH ESTATE WILL NEVER PERISH!

those darn douche bags!
Knowing snowing going well:)
To start a new band of your own is awesome.
That was a great early morning laugh. It's bad weather here too, blowing snow (the tiny ice crystal kind that stings), and bitter cold (the kind that stings). I want it to be April already! I had to pluck my car battery out last night and bring it indoors because you can't trust a VW Jetta to start on a cold battery. Global warming, I'm all for it! Flood the coastal cities I don't care, just make it warmer in Minnesota!
Lucky cats to have chance having their wicked ways by crawling all over you.
"A wise man does not need advice and a fool won’t take it."
I don't understand why people cry over a game. It's rediculous to me. And I'm either the fool that takes the advice or the wise person that takes the advice because I'm always doing what other people tell me to do... thinking it will make things better. I need someone to give me advice to not take advice and just live the way i want to. That would be my advice to myself.
Have fun at the snowball fight. You get funny with no sleep.
Thank you. I really appreciate that you take your time to read my nonsense. Haha.
With love.
i love that first paragraph. i wake up like that all night long....cats crawling on my.....but the part about the peaceful snow....i know that feeling....lucky duck....i like the idea of the new band too...you go boy!
take some snow pics and post them....pppplllllleeeeeaaaaasssseseeeee!
lol well you kept your word about the Tebow motivational posters, di'ntcha? lol ...but the poooor guyyyy
...i guess he'll do alright though ...like my dad said, instead of being the first draft pick, he'll be the second ha...
it's weird that you have a Tom Cruise poster... cause i watched War of the Worlds the other night, the one he was in... pretty cool movie (totally unrealistic of course but still... ) ...have you seen it?
and Happy Festivus to you!
Great post, I laughed my ass of a couple times.
Oh and lucky you, I wish we would get snow here in Georgia and Happy Festivus to you too.
It's snowing there? ..oh wait, you mean it's literally snowing. I though you're talking about major quantities of cocaine. Mea culpa! That would be like...God is throwing a partay and he shows us, midgets, he's a real gangsta by making the sky give us cocaine. Pain reliever, yes, sir! NO!!1
CCRR, that cracked me up! Honestly, I'd buy all your CD's. CCR it's a magnificent band! Love it with all my winamp and mp3, no doubt!
I understand crying over a fucking game! Oh, teh pressure..
P.S. I am from Romania.
All we got was RAIN!
death before dishonor... what a cocksucker.
Heh, this is fun to read.
I came over here for a reason, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.... maybe if I go back to where I was before and look around the room it will come back to me...
Lol, this was great. But I do feel bad for Tebow, so sad. No snow here thankfully!
When I woke up this morning at 8 it was 50 degrees and mildly sunny with some wind. By noon it was hailing with 60 mph winds and the sky was black. Good bless winter storms. Right now (3am) we've got about a good inch of snow on the ground, but the wind keeps blowing it around. I just want a blanket of beautiful white snow to cover everything, I get tired of looking at the bare trees and the dirty sidewalks.
I cried when my high school football team lost in the state final my senior year. It was rough because we were (and still are) the best team the town had and we lost to a team that used an ineligible player and when they were caught, they refused to give us the trophy. I also cried because I had made friends with some of the players and it hurt to see them so stunned and shocked. Football always gets to me. I usually have to leave the room when Ohio State plays because they screw up whenever I watch them. But I'm still a Buckeye. (Kent isn't worth cheering for, unless it's for basketball).
I'm pretty sure there is an Ed Hardy EVERYTHING. What's next, Ed Hardy air fresheners, just in case you wanted to SMELL like a douchebag too??
Having grown up first with main frame computers in the 60s, then mini computers in the 70s, then data communications in the 80s, then PCs in the late 80s, and now with client/server applications, I have seen a lot of problems due to infancy of the technology. One of them was the beginning of word processors. At first they did not have automatic hypenation of words at the end of a line (either the whole word fit on the top line, or the whole word was put on the next line). Then they came out with automatic hyphenation for words at the end of a line. Needless to say, the algorithms for the myriad rules of hyphenation caused problems.
One of the biggest problems was the word "therapist". Many of the original algorithms always hyphenated it as "the-rapist".
Excuse me Miss - I think the guy may be telling her that he thinks she has her blouse on backwards
Gotta say a few things!
Your posts, aside from being extremely well written, make me laugh without fail. I love your sense of humor.
Also, just for a few times anyway, I wish that we here in NC would get a ton of snow. For my daughter's sake anyway!
That being said...in NC, much to my surprise, if a snowflake (yeah, 1 or 2) fall, the state becomes panic stricken. The schools close among other things.
And I thought that I over-reacted about things!
Keep up the great writing!

I keep seeing douchebags all over the news so I figure I have to include them in my post.
@PeaceSearcher -
This snow was nice when it was first falling but then it started blowing. I had to have my driveway cleared twice now because of how the wind blew the snow around. Today it was bitterly cold and with the wind it felt like it was -20F.
@UR_MUSE -
I never knew there were those type of problems with VW batteries. I remember years ago how my parents plugged in their Oldsmobile to an outlet in the house. It's not that the car was electric but that somehow it kept the battery charged when it got so cold.
I had to have my driveway cleared out twice but I think they are saying more snow this weekend. Honestly, we still haven't had a winter like years ago. Last year was about the closest I can remember to some of those.
@RestlessButterfly -
Yeah I like that as and my cats...they crawl all over me and they need their claws cut because I wake up with scratches all over the places where they crawl on me.
@NightlyDreams -
wow...that advice is confusing but I understand what you mean.
I can somewhat understand the crying over a game. I never did when I played my last game but that is because I was being taken to a hospital because I damaged my knee severely. I saw others, particularly seniors, who cried because it would be the last time they got to play.
It was amazing because that is the first time I ever remember hearing that the University of Wisconsin shut down because of snow plus they shut down all the schools in the UW system.
@flowmorphiaslow -
Well I appreciate you reading MY nonsense.
@LUNAPHIA -
I was planning on going out today but the windchill made it feel like -20 and I worried that would do damage to my camera.
@Peridot21 -
Yeah, I bet Tebow will be probably be a mid to late second round pick. I hear so many analysts say his arm isn't strong enough for the NFL. I guess time will tell.
Yeah I saw War of the Worlds. I think the only thing about it that I enjoyed was the special effects which were greatly improved from the original but I still think the original is a classic. My grandmother always told me about the radio broadcast where Orson Welles fooled all these people into thinking the aliens were landing. I actually found it online and I love those old radio shows.
@darkwolf2x4 -
Thank you...yeah the snow can be fun but not when it is blowing around with the wind and the particles sting any exposed skin. Another bad part of snow is that when the weather system leaves, so do the clouds and it gets way cold. Last night I think it got down to -2F. Then here's something, when the wind is fast and the temperatures are cold, they have the windchill factor. When the wind blows it will feel much colder than it actually is. Today, they delayed starting schools because of how low the windchills were, -20F. Last year around Christmas they got down to -40 and -50.
@windoftheforest -
No it's really snowing. For some reason I think that God is against the cocaine and partying.
I cried when I lost in a video game of the American Revolution. I lost the capital and I had all my soldiers too far away.
Oh...Romania...I've worked with people from Romania. I think I made a fool of myself though. It's all because of the Serbs that I worked with. They said their language was understood by everyone in that area so I said something and I think I may have created an international incident.
@rickystar1 -
I think the transfer rate is that every 1 inch of rain is equal to 10 inches of snow. So if you got 3 inches of rain yesterday that would have been 30 inches of snow.
@CleteusMaximus -
Thanks, I am sure there were times when Jon was with Kate that he was begging for death.
@Aloysius_son -
Good luck finding what you were looking for.
@TiRocKiinPiinK -
Thank you, I am mixed about the snow. The worst part was the blowing so I had to clear my driveway again this morning and then it was only about 5F and with the wind it felt like it was -20F.
@twistedmistletoe -
Yeah I would rather have all this snow than have it look bare and dead. The bad part about after a snow storm is that the cloud cover leaves and usually it gets bitterly cold. Today it was only about 5 when I was shoveling and the wind made it feeling like it was -20F.
I didn't get a chance to cry during my last football game. I probably wouldn't have if I had stayed at the game because I was so loaded on painkillers because I damaged my knee. The injury kept me from playing college football and the funny thing now is that I noticed that the school where I was planning on going just dissolved their football program. I guess my problem with Tebow is that he proclaims himself to be a Christian yet he doesn't act that way when they are victorious. There was something about turning the other cheek in the Bible. When I played our coach would not let us act like that and I didn't let any players on teams I coached do things like that. Oh and anyway, I know people cry and mostly it's because it's their last game. I don't think any of my teammates cried because of our run to the state championship game. We finished the regular season 3-6, made the playoffs with a win in the last game of the season which was about a 7OT game, and then we knocked off two undefeated teams in the playoffs. We ended the season at 6-7 but still it was such a great experience although my knee kills me now.
Oh and I was at the Dollar General the other day looking for car air fresheners and there was a collection of Ed Hardy air fresheners.
@curiousdwk -
HAHAHAHA....therapist. That is quite interesting to think of when it comes to wordprocessing. I doubt any of my students would be able to tell you how the hyphenation at the end of a line in a written paper works.
I would hope she corrects that shirt problem ASAP
@itsjustamething -
Thank you. I had a college classmate from Alabama and he talked about how a few snowflakes shut everything down. It takes a lot to do that up here. 16 inches of snow is probably a safe bet for school closure. The problem with snow and school closings is that kids get in the habit of playing snow day roulette. They don't do their homework in hopes that school will be called off or have a 2 hour late start. Today the schools up here started 2 hours late because of the severe cold. The temperature was hovering around 0 but the wind made it feel much colder like -20 to -25. One of the cities reported that with the snowstorm there was 15 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning.
@godfatherofgreenbay - yeah, you're right, the special effects were amazing... so many movies would never exist if it weren't for all the special effects that are around now... the Harry Potter movies immediately come to mind, for example... quick story about the War of the Worlds movie; i'm not one that gets scared easily by scary movies or books (i love them) but the weirdest thing happened the night after i watched it... it was really late (like 2 or 3 in the morning actually) and i hear these really strange loud noises, that sounded *just like* those tripod thingys, i kid you not! lol ...so here i am listening outside a cracked window to try and figure out what in the hail the noise was... of course i had a fleeting thought that it was the aliens (aaahhhh! lol)... never did find out what the noise was hmmmm...
@Peridot21 -
Ha...that sounds like me with the movie Signs. When the news cast shows the footage of the alien, I jumped and then because I was sitting alone in a dark house I started thinking I was seeing things.
lmao DOOOOOOOUCHEEEEEEEEEEEEE eh bago the tom cruise one is my fav. next to the awesome boobs (that look too hard but sexy in photo)
@darkarin88 -
all the douche ones were found after I saw the preview for Jersey Shore. And the boobs...yeah they make me a blathering idiot.
omg i just saw that show for the first (and last) time the other day! *smh* those people were idiots!! lol and i have a lasting image in my mind of one of the guys punching one of the chicks in the face. then he was arrested. it looked like it hurt. the arresting, i mean, that chick was a bitch. (ha ha j/k)
