Motivation
So last night, after my Xanga jones was quenched, I decided to settle down with a movie. I curled up on the couch to watch "Audition". This was a HUGE mistake. I guess Takshi Miike movies are not movies to watch at night nor are they good to watch any time of the day. This movie has shyed me away from dating or at least holding auditions to find a girlfriend.
You know how that prince from Cinderella went around looking for the woman whose foot fit in the glass slipper? Well I'm going around looking for a girl with the license plate: BJS 247.
Who wants me to come to their house and drink beer? High quality is preferred.
I figure I don't need a fancy XBOX 360 when I can play a regular XBOX while using a sit-n-spin.
I have a strange feeling that Gary Busey and Nick Nolte are re-enacting Thelma and Louise with Charlie Sheen's cars.
Anyone watching the World Cup? How about those vuvuzelas? I don't care if FIFA bans them as long as I can still get blown like one.
Here's your dose of weekly motivation:
Tact is for people who aren't witty.Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional.
Hey, it's great that the University of Nebraska entered the Big Ten but they better be ready for a cornholing when they play the Badgers.
And this one goes out to a banana:
Have a great whatever...I love you guys

i know-- and by "know," i mean, i am first degree relatives with-- people who really, truly, honestly believe things like that acceptance picture.
Love the Peter Griffin posters, lol!
I thought I was the only one who thought about stopping time. Problem is, the molecular motion would be stopped as well and we'd all freeze and collapse into a mess of atoms. Unless someone could slow down time sufficiently enough...
No beer in my home so sorry can't invite, and the posters are interesting:)
Lots of Family Guy lol
You bring the beer, I have the house.
Since I am pop-culture-challenged, I don't know who Peter Griffin is.
I like the "Tact is for people who aren't witty." As in Oscar Wilde.
I guess Peter is a good choice for the motivation posters. If you would put up Stewie, that would just be...insanely wrong.
whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa... lois, this is not my batman glass.
OMG, how do you know my plate number????? Stalk much?
We just had a miss Hooters Canada competition here in Toronto. There are, were 37 great pics in the Toronto Sun paper - http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2010/06/16/14411101.html
I thought the Audition sucked. Asian plots are really freaking weird and jump around a lot so you have to sew the story together yourself to make sense of it. The only asian scary film I thought was really thrilling was A Tale of Two Sisters. It was still weird though.

If youw ant to really puke at a film look up the movie trailer for Human Centipede. But I warn you, even the trailer (or reading about it) kept me up at night.

Yep, I have the same type of family on one side and it's like my family is outcast because my dad isn't a "real" family member because he was adopted.
@Melissa___Dawn -
I had a friend send me an email filled with them. I am using my favorites.

I've always thought that the transports on Star Trek were interesting because they would basically take you apart atom by atom and then reassemble you. Basically you die each time you transport and are cloned again. What would happen if a person jizzed before transport? Would 1,000,000 people be transported or would you have millions of extra atoms hopefully making a person 1,000,000 times stronger?

Too bad...I enjoy the beer
@Shining_Garnet -
Expect more next week. I had a friend send me an email with so many of those posters in it.
@TheGiantSlayer -
sounds awesome

Peter Griffin is an animated character on the show Family Guy. It's a somewhat controversial show and to me is even more controversial given that it's on FOX and FOX seems to be pandering to the religious right on their news network.

Why would Stewie be the wrong choice?
@Peridot21 -
Attention loyal blog reader and commenter: Testicles. That is all.
See what I did there?
@faustuosa -
Marry me?
@dikdoktor -
God bless Hooters for their sexual overtones and their subpar food

I've seen that Human Centipede trailer and read about it on wikipedia...creepy. There is just something about Miike films that sucks me in. I know it's not Miike but have you seen Old Boy? There was supposedly an American version in the works but it was shelved.
@godfatherofgreenbay -
ugh, how disgusting. your dad is probably better off without them.
@godfatherofgreenbay - ahahaha yep, i see what you did there =P
@Peridot21 -
I forget the name for that comedic device but it worked nonetheless.
You know what really grinds my gears? No one's come up with a new priest and a rabbi joke in like 30 years. OK, OK, uh, a priest and a rabbi go into..the supermarket. And the priest says, let's buy a ham. And the rabbi says, "Nope. Can't eat it. Not allowed. It's forbidden." Pigs are like super-heroes to them. Is it perfect? No! But I don't see you coming up with anything better. And that, people, is what grinds my gears. Peridot21.
@godfatherofgreenbay - uhhhh lol... now i'm really confused, good job! =P
ry(audio)c: omg that song the blower's daughter is sooo beautiful... i think i like that one better, should've uploaded that one instead
...and, yeah, that was a pretty cool gift to get as a teacher... my youngest sister is a teacher and when she used to teach kindergarten, she got some really odd gifts... she swears that some of the kids, wanting so much to give her a gift, just took something from home and wrapped it (like a pair of their mom's old earrings or whatever... but it's the thought that counts i guess, and it was so cute of them :)
@Peridot21 -
Oh it's a quote from Family Guy when Peter gets an editorial position on the nightly news. It was called "What Grinds My Gears".
I got a lot of movies and music when I taught high school and when I taught grade school I received baseball cards, candy, CD holders, coffee mugs despite not drinking coffee, meat, and more meat. One guy butchered his own cows and pigs so he always gave me ribs, steaks, and his own home-made wieners...get your mind out of the gutter.
@godfatherofgreenbay - lol ohhhh, ok, guess i missed that episode =) ...and, waaaait a minute, out of the gutter?? i never! or was it always? no, definitely never! =P
@Peridot21 -
I think that halo has been spray painted gold.
I just figured why you may not have seen that episode. It was part of the Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story. It was a three episode arc where Stewie tries to find his father. FOX edited a lot to get it on air plus it gets edited even more for syndication.
@godfatherofgreenbay - omg it is noooot! ......although it is removable =P
oh ok, you're probably right then... i don't watch Family Guy a lot but i somehow seem to know about some of the funniest bits (mostly thanks to my brother who looooves that show lol)
@Peridot21 -
OK removable...I can buy that.
Wow, you seem to have a lot of siblings. How many?
@godfatherofgreenbay - not so many really... i have three, two sisters and one brother... i'm the oldest ughhh (who needs that pressure?? lol
@Peridot21 -
AH...no wonder there is a removable halo. I, too, am the oldest child in my family. There was always that pressure to excel at sports and academics.
@godfatherofgreenbay - mhmm you got that right ...but i dare say that being the only and a male has got to be juuuust a little more pressure-ful lol
@Peridot21 -
Oh yes it was pressure-ful...you've heard about stage parents, well my parents were sort of like that with my grades. Anything less than an A- was unacceptable.
@godfatherofgreenbay - yikes that is very pressure-ful! my parents, i found out when i was all grown up, had decided from the get-go not to pressure any of us, well, unduly anyway... i think that was kind of a good thing and a bad thing at the same time, ya know? i mean i wanted to do well anyway, but i think if i had had more pressure from them, it would have been better... (does that make sense?? lol)
@Peridot21 -
Yeah that makes perfect sense. It's sort of like the kids who desire structure because they have none at home. I had specific rules and guidelines for my classroom and I know so many kids who thrived on that. I always pushed the students to their best.
Was Old BOY a science Fiction film??
@theladyofabundance -
Old Boy is a mystery/thriller about a guy who is mysteriously imprisoned for 15 years and then given 5 days to find his captor. At last check it was #114 of the imdb Top 250.
