  • Love the “SLAP” cat! LOL!

  • thanks for a refreshing caturday experience what has nuthin’ to do with jesus or talkin’ barbie dolls.

heh. says here “hearty italian meats”. i hear they’re hard to beat.

  • hahaha, I am so fucking mad at Dan for that crap right now, I could not smile at all. but you made me smile.  a little.  cat with cabbage leaf is kewl.

  • yay! caturday is early this time, and i di’nt miss it! ;) … and, look at that, your post has astro-cats and my post has astro-nauts, cool! :)

  • @bluepillorredpill -

Rick James…awesome…I’m going to a beer fest next weekend and that photo and your pic remind me of a story from one time at that fest. I was at a Perkins with some friends after drinking all day at a brewery standing outside in the snow. We were warming up and another table of drunks come in. This one guy was horrible. He kept shouting, “I’m Rick James, bitch.” I think that was about the time that came out. anyway he kept asking his waitress for her name and she said Donna and he goes, “Hey, Donna, guess what?” “What?” “I’m Rick James, bitch.” She didn’t like that and walked out on her shift.

  • @complicatedlight -

talking barbie dolls? I must have missed that drama unless you are talking about the celebrity round up that I missed because I went out to visit my friends and godchild and then went to a haunted bar.

    Hard to beat…ha.

  • @Diva_Jyoti_3 -

I don’t mind people professing their faith but I feel annoyed when people deem it necessary to email a chain letter because they think that will get them to heaven or some such nonsense. Faith isn’t about emailing.

  • @Peridot21 -

Yay…I didn’t do a round up yet because I went out last night to see my goddaughter and her folks and then I visited one of my old haunts, the haunted bar. There was some creepy stuff going on last night and everyone saw something involving me but I didn’t see. I’ll have to repost some of my tales.

Oh and when I was going through my cat pics folder, I saw those two and thought of your post so I figured why not.

  • I was going to copy and paste the message but then I thought, if Jesus really wanted me to do it, he would have just told me himself. He wouldn’t have told Dan to tell me to do it.

  • haha, I like the gif with the cat swatting at the dog.

  • @TheTheologiansCafe -

I should have asked my cats what they think of all the emails being sent around Xanga because they are ordained ministers in the Universal Life Church.

  • @Aloysius_son -

Well I was going to ask my cats the same thing since they are ordained ministers but they haven’t said anything.

  • @ItIsAllGravy -

Catnip is a hell of a drug

  • @POETIC_ISIS -

YES! My cats are ordained ministers and I knew they wanted to be ever since I first saw them rubbing their face on the crucifix I keep on my piano.

  • Caaaaturday… a most srs and bsns-like day.

I live with one cat and three dogs. The biggest dog fears the cat. The other two would eat the snotty bastid, if they weren’t afraid of being sent to the kennel for a time-out. Mind you, they hang out in that same kennel almost all day, snoozing.

They’re exactly like having four more children.

    When is Momdoesn’thavetodealwiththiscrapanymore day?

  • I saw this this morning and remembered it’s Caturday.

  • Way to lighten up the mood here on xanga! :)

  • @Automaton_Emotion -

NEVER! My Rottweiler didn’t like cats but when she tried to scare them and attack, they would hiss and she would run and hide behind me. This is the same dog that killed a deer.

  • @Writing_the_Tides -

O…M…G…I think I have material for next week. Man, that interview was insane. I thought he had to have been smoking rocks.

  • I love Caturday.  It makes me happy.

  • @Sand_notes -

Thanks, I try to do that from time to time. Life is too short for the drama.

  • Those are ADORABLE!  Thank you for the smiles.

  • @anth0nyc -

Hahaha…yeah, that’s what I was thinking when I cleaned a litter box today

  • @NightlyDreams -

It is such a good day. I wish Caturday could get rid of all the snow we are getting right now

  • I like the gif with the cat swatting the dog too,I had a cat that did that, the dog would get so mad!

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - It’s all about perspective, yo. Answer this: Who came first? The dog or the cats? We’ve had two dogs and two cats that we’ve actually claimed ownership to. My shepard mix and a 150 lb rott mix both came into the household as puppies, where the cats existed as adults already. Both of them FEAR(ED)our cats wildly. The rott mix, however, got trapped in a neighbors backyard and ended up playing “Shake the Bunny” (a rope game they played) with the neighbor’s cat, breaking its neck and killing it instantly. So, deathly afraid of our indoor kitties, but ridding the backyards of America from the scourge that is outdoor kitties. Perspective, I said.

  • I’m a Christian ,but I don’t feel inbox spam is the best way to spread the gospel message.
He was probably trying to make a larger point. Nevertheless, everyone had to make a counter spam point.

I get it though: Atheist ≠ Christian

  • I think I love caturday :)

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - </it was near 70 here today.

  • Hahaha! I love the video. I gave my cats catnip just the other night, got the video camera out ’cause they are wild on catnip, and I swear they know when they are being videotaped and they all just lie down and look stupid. As soon as I turn the camera off, they get wild, lol.

  • @seedsower -

I had a cat that did that to the friendliest beagle. The beagle just wanted to be friends but the cat wanted nothing of her.

  • @bakersdozen2 -

yeah, it bugs me because I get those emails so frequently and it hurts because I think people truly believe that if they don’t send it out they are not doing service to their God

  • @NightlyDreams -

I am so jealous, I can’t even tell how much snow is out there, four or five inches but it is so light and fluffy that it just blows away if you walk in it.

  • @Melissa___Dawn -

I have one of those emory board things for cats. To get them to use it I filled the bottom underneath the emory board with catnip and one of them went nuts and tipped it over so I had catnip all over the place and they were bouncing off the walls. I vacuumed it up but every time they walk in that area they sniff the carpet and slowly raise their heads with their mouths hanging open. It’s so funny.

  • I wonder if Anderson Cooper the cat ever got adopted?

  • @Rob_of_the_Sky -

I should check that out. I also need to see if that cat from last week that looked like He Who Must Not Be Named got adopted.

  • Lolcats, yay! I’m so happy to read a weblog post about the mass message that isn’t about the mass message! Great post.

  • Ahaha…. I can has Poland? My favourite! I also like the “I love you, food” one. :)

  • roflmao. This is fucking amazing.

  • I was a minister in The Universal Life Church for about six months. I almost wound up in serious trouble…LOL…what can I tell you I needed the money?

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - oh yeahhh, the haunted bar, i remember that… i love stuff like that… and, good idea about the astro-cats… course, at first, i thought you were doin’ that wizard thing that you do again =P

  • Not a huge fan of cats, but the SLAP one is hilarious!

  • omg i think i love you

  • @Peridot21 -

Well this time I wasn’t a wizard although I’d like you to think I was one. I’ll have to add my experiences from this visit because stuff happened to me that I didn’t see but others did like when I went to the bathroom 3 people saw a black figure follow me and then stop at the end of the bar when I was out of eye sight. I didn’t see it but I felt ice cold when walking even though I was warm because I had on my Wisconsin hoodie. Also a guy took a photo of me sitting in a “hot spot” and there was a mist around me in the photo. I saw a lot of things in the corner of my eyes but the worst was seeing a black figure walk through the kitchen. I’d say you should come but you know distance but apparently the bar is going to be featured on some sort of ghost show.

  • @carpe_diem99 -

Thanks, I tried to add some levity to the situation

  • @TheFifthHero -

I’ve used that Poland one but it’s too funny.

  • @Tallman -

lol…when 9/11 happened my family got emails from the ULC asking for the Reverend George to submit prayers. George was my first cat. I was tempted to write back: meow meow meow meow meow.

  • @stephx4 -

that is a good one, that old Rick James on Chapelle Show skit

  • @virgin_maddie -

well I think that is a good thing

  • @Peridot21 -

And I forgot to add…check out this site. That’s the owner and bartender I usually talk about. I usually sit on the other side of the bar in front of the taps. You have to be close to what you’re drinking. Oh and check out this site for some EVPs that were collected at the bar and also an article about an investigation.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - whoa that is so weird, but cool, too… i don’t know which one is creepier, the child wanting to sing or the mean cowboy… actually, i think the child =/ … have you seen either of the Paranormal Activity movies?  cause i mean that’s what that is, right?… i haven’t seen them, and my friends who did have told me to (defiantly) not watch them at home, alone… way too scaryyyy

  • @Peridot21 -

I was there once and the owner was telling me about a guy who denied anything was happening. He went to the bathroom and then came running back through the bar screaming and then out the door. He came back some time later and said he saw a little girl appear and she was wearing clothing from turn of the century. Another guy brought in his daughter and she kept asking if she could go play with the little girl.

I have not seen the Paranormal Activity movies although a friend told me they were disappointing…at least the endings were. Defiantly don’t watch them alone…I’ll bring popcorn. The scariest moment of movie viewing for me happened when I was home on a college break and I decided to watch Signs. When Joaquin Phoenix is watching tv and they show the alien walking. Well I had all the lights off and the shadows from the tv made it look like someone walking in my parents’ house. I quick grabbed my samurai sword as I turned on all the lights.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - a samurai sword, nice… that’d show those ol’ shadows… wait, would a sword work on a shadow?? =P … and, Signs, i love that movie; i think i’ve seen it like four or five times…

  • @Peridot21 -

Oh a sword would work on whatever was causing the shadow or someone from Dark Shadows…I should have prefaced that with a nerd alert.

Signs is one of Shamalan’s better movies. I haven’t seen his Airbender on and I don’t think I will because it won so many Razzies. I have all his other films because I think he is brilliant but that Airbender one just didn’t seem to be something of his because it wasn’t original.
