Flippant Pearls Scattered by a Demented Sepia-Mutiny-Lurker

Did you make heads or tails of that title? Neither did I.

So if you read my pulse earlier this evening, I wrote how for the first time in 4 years my blood test results came back within the normal range. I was quite shocked actually. I haven't really done anything different other than doubling the amount of fruits and vegetables I eat. Oh and I won't touch canned fruits or vegetables any longer. It all has to come from the produce aisle. I was fearing the worst, I always do. I guess it stems from having this condition that the doctors could never figure out what it was. It all started with a pneumonia bug and after that it seemed that my body just decided not to function. I was severely anemic and was always close to needing transfusions. I'd pass blood...I won't go on to tell you the specifics but that was frightening. I've been snaked more times than necessary and everything is inconclusive and now I'm normal although the doctor said my blood pressure was a little higher than he'd like. He figured that I have a lot of stress right now and said he still wants me to take a higher dosage. Oh well, I figure that I took the top number down 50 points and the bottom number down 20 then I did pretty good. Plus I've written some family out of my life which seems to have alleviated things. Maybe Xanga has once again been my therapy. You people are awesome for putting up with me and my crap. I've been around here for about 6 years and I've had many people come across this site and I've built up some great relationships and I hope to continue this...gaw...mushy crap...let's get funny.

I tried explaining this to someone earlier today so I thought I'd post it.

Every time I think I've accomplished something using this fancy new gizmo - (my PC) something will come along and put me in my place again. I get the same kind of jolt sometimes when I pop into Xanga - meet another nice person or even someone like you.

Great to know your test results came back normal...Feeling well is the icing on the cake. I wish I'd feel well most of the time BUT that darn diabetes sometimes it gets out of control. Amway, what's up with the Trump and his squish face? hehe..

That gif is hilarious and oh-so-true. I like how you stopped the 'mushy' talk mid-sentence, even though it was great to know that things are turning up for the better. Excellent, really. And one could only hope that it'll continue to get even better. Amazing what organic fruits and vegetables can do to a person!

Did you cut down on your caffine intake while taking vitamines? Some people don't realize that some vitamines can't be absorbed into the system if they are also drinking caffinated beverages. I think that's my main problem with my anemia.

I liked Twilight books but I have to admit they do not need to be required reading for college. I would think the classics should be though.

My mother is of the opinion that if it's not fun to read you shouldn't torture yourself with it. I'm a little like that but I also want to "try" to red the classics (they must have some value if so many people have read and loved them before me).

glad your blood is at a normal range it's always good to check on that. i definitely would advise eating the freshest fruit because not only is it good for you but it taste even better than canned fruit. nice pictures by the way, lol.

I'm glad your blood tests results came back within normal range. I have a doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks. we'll see how i'm doing. I came very close to needing two transfusions.
This is very good news! Keep those numbers in check. No more crushed pineapples! Oh! and the sign told you 3 times. I'm glad I came across your blog. Here's to 6+ more!

@hilaw - I always get "eating ironically" confused with "eating more iron". Maybe that's why I've been ill.
@DickDoktorII - thanks man, I know there are times I want to pack it all in but this place has some genuinely nice people
@incarnate_emotion - the worst time was when they wanted to go down my throat but I had a respiratory illness and because I am a large person (read: fat) the person who was going to put me under had reservations so I was awake for that whole process. It was so surreal to be watching a camera going down my throat and watching my insides on the TV.
@jiazy_1 - oh it feels good, I am just waiting for the doctors to tell me I have diabetes because it runs in my family so I figure it's inevitable but I try to eat healthy now so I will delay the sentence.

@NightlyDreams - I actually don't think I did cut down my caffeine intake because I don't really drink caffeine. I quit when I was in college because it would make me jittery and make me more stressful. I do have some occasionally like the cup of coffee or Cola if I'm driving somewhere and am a little tired.

I've been making my way through Time's list of the 100 best novels of all time. I've also been reading my way through the Marine Corps Commandant's reading list.
@Margo73 - well I would say get out and read others' sites. I didn't realize there was a whole community on Xanga until I was here for about 2 years. I just talked to my friends from college. Also, stay out of drama issues and don't take sides or don't make your views known.
@fromprivatetopublic - yeah I've been trying to eat more of that than processed foods even though the price is greater. I am going to go all out with planting my own fruits and veggies this summer. I am doing new stuff like garlic this year and I've doubled my blueberry plants.
@StrawberrySunrises - Thanks...I don't always feel like a million bucks but it's better than feeling nothing. That doesn't make sense...sorry. Here's a story about the required reading at Ohio State. Thank goodness it's only in an honors course.
@CPKviperphoenix - Oh man I totally forgot to watch South Park. I guess I had given up on Comedy Central so I didn't know the season premier was on Wednesday until an hour or so after it aired.

It's in an honors course at Ohio State...here.

@Pennington_Hall - yeah I've been dreading the tests. One of them was a kidney function test and I feared that since my dad has been on dialysis and I just figured that my kidneys must have shut down out of sympathy for him. 100% function...such a worrier.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas - I hope your tests come out like mine although I hope you have better luck with where they take blood. I am all bruised and tender.

@nattata - you should totally teach your students Harry Potter and incorporate the game in the book called Quidditch. I did a modified version...you know, modified because I couldn't afford flying brooms on the athletic department budget. We ran around while "riding" brooms. I wanted to do more but I had a couple parents accuse me of teaching the children Satanism because we read Harry Potter.
