Xanga Blocked Me
I can't get into my Xanga from my home computer. I figure it was because I started a new blog last night for some of my other writings. I find this hilarious because the second I start a new Xanga account I get blocked however when other people here start multiple accounts they make the front page. I guess this means I am done with Xanga unless they unblock me. It's been nice knowing you.

Xanga blocked me out one time...and I hadn't started another site, I just had the one. It took days, and many e-mails to them, to get me back on my site. I'm sorry you're going through this! Ack!

@SnowshoeTrails - well I can't access Xanga from my home computer. I think they blocked my IP. I may have wrote some religious things that may have been construed as hate but I was quoting the writings of Sanhedrin.

@boricua_chic_2008 - I wrote something religious and I think it was construed as hate yet someone like LoBorn can go around promoting hate and they leave that person up.
What the heck? They block you - you should have seen the message I sent about the fucking spammers and I'm still here. This is insane. Maybe it's just a glitch. I remember once I couldn't get into my acct - it was fuckticated for a day or so.
Now I'm curious about what you wrote in that other blog. I want details!

It was a glitch in their system or something. They kept saying it was my problem...with my computer..and my seach engines...and I kept saying "no"...I knew it wasn't my problem...finally they realized it was THEIR problem and they apologized and fixed it.They were very nice.

What the hell? That's utterly ridiculous. I don't get why they'd block your home IP. Do you have a static IP or can you just reset your modem and get a new one? (dynamic) ? Try that.... if you have... I don't know what to say. Why would they block you? Makes no sense. I feel you.
@DickDoktorII - I kept saying that it wouldn't accept me and every time I tried to access Xanga this certain screen came up that said something about cookies.

@xplorrn - I keep getting stuck on this book about Sparta because it uses all these Greek terms and I keep doing searches of those terms and get sucked into other things about Greek society. Gates of Fire...it's on the USMC commandant's reading list.
I really enjoy that band. I can't remember how I first heard of them but it was awesome. I think the first song I heard a while back was that one you sent me the other day.

@xplorrn - thanks, I tried to do a shield but for some reason that didn't work. I'm doing the mobile Xanga but that isn't quite the same.
As for being "gomer pyle" well there is a kid in my church that just deployed to Afghanistan so I was reading up on the USMC and found that list. I was going to read through it this summer.

Sorry to hear that. Make sure you clear all your cookies, cache, do disk clean up etc and see if you can get back in. Use a different browser if you have more than one loaded onto your computer and see if that helps. I don't think the staff looks too closely at some of the new help area anymore. I used to get an e-mail from the staff if I was having problems uploading a video or what not. Now all I can do is post a message and assume someone sees it when and if the problem goes away.
Take a wild shot at john(@)xanga.com and see what happens.

that had happened to me once. but not becausei had multiple sites..because they thought i was abusing some xanga rule. just was someone who hacked in to my site. i think this is unfair action. i hope they get straightened out.

@Jeremy_Sheer - I think it was because I stuck for Judaism and wrote some rabbinical quotes and Christians took offense to that. I remember when I was no one here and just stayed in my own little corner. I know I reported a Xangan's hate post against Jews to Xanga and they did nothing so I reported it to the ADL.

Matt, dude....what can we do to help? Please don't leave man, that would be tragic! By the way, how the hell are you able to reply to these posts if you are blocked? Do you still have some partial access to your page but cannot log into it yourself? If so this seems like a glitch on Xanga's end. I've been blocked from accessing my page before and so what I did was just send an email to some help link off the main page. They promptly fixed it for me and I got my page back pretty fast. If you have any way to contact support or help around here I'd do that first before assuming that you've been banned. I'm not so sure if they still have it easy to access help since it's been a bit since that happened to me but I'd try anyway first. If you need someone here to help you with it I'd be more than willing to send a message out for you if you can't for some reason....fuck it...I'm going to do that right now!

Having multiple accounts isn't against the rules (if I'm not mistaken). Try checking some settings on your computer for passwords and such (perhaps a key-chain password is messed up). Or you may have gotten hacked?
I have openly had multiple accounts for different purposes before, I know lots of people who do, and nothing ever happens to them.
I'm obviously a nobody on Xanga 'cause over the past 7 or 8 years I've been here I've had at least a dozen different accounts and have never been blocked, lol. For the record, my other accounts were not for trolling but rather privacy from real life friends/family.
Anyway, Xanga better fix this! You're one of the coolest people I've ever known on Xanga, your posts are great, and if you're not here then I won't get any comments on my posts at all. :P
Let me know if there's a petition started or anything to help out with.

I find Xanga to be consistently inconsistent. I can never predict my next experience with Xanga.
