Shallow Conversations With A Confused Culinary School Drop Out
I posted that my cat was having problems. I took her out to the vet this morning along with the string that came out of her. The vet broke it up and it turned out it was a hairball and now I have to give her medicine for a few days. It's a gel that claims to be tuna flavored. Both my cats came running when I opened it, They are still sniffing the container. I put a little on Lua's paw and she licked it right up. Well she seems to be her old self although since I have the fans out she is hiding. She hates fans. Whenever she has to walk in front of one she drags her belly on the ground. It's rather amusing. My day was filled with running errands for my parents and watching 150 Amish people fish on my lake because it's a free fishing weekend in Wisconsin. I also went to a couple high school graduation parties and ended the night filling a pill container while watching Law and Order: SVU. Now is the time when we look at cats because it is or was Caturday.
OK there was your Caturday. I hope your weekend is going swimmingly. I'm exhausted and plan on spending my Sunday in bed.

I'm exhausted from grooming 4 cats today. They don't mind the fur brushing, but they're not fond of the teeth brushing and claw clipping, lol. Glad your kitty is feeling better. The other day I caught my brain-damaged kitty with a big piece of box tape stuck to the side of her face and partially in her mouth - will have to be more careful with my packing. :P

I'm not allowed to have pets according to my rental lease so I have a stuffed dog named Percy who has to make do. He's half cat though, and he mightily appreciates Caturday! [and I especially like the GTFO pic.]
oh yeah, cats looooove that hairball stuff....they'll eat the whole thing if they can get in it lol
I can't brain today. I have the dumb. Ahahahaha.

Love the cat in the bottle. What prompted you to start Caturdays?
@I_once_was - it's so strange, she acts all skittish when I wear my outdoor clothes and baseball hat but once I have them removed she is fine. I think she's associated being thrown into a kennel when I wear a baseball hat. Anyway, she's sleeping in front of my tv so all is good.
@Melissa___Dawn - I have to take my cats to the vet to get their claws trimmed. I can't do it by myself and I am terrified that I'd cut them too close. I really haven't bothered with brushing their teeth because I give them dental treats. I also brush their coats from time to time but they seem to enjoy that. Maybe your cat was just trying to help.
I love the kitty who was cuddling!!!! I watched it like four times. I fail lol.
@GodlessLiberal - it really is a great day although sometimes I feel that I have a gun pointed to the back of my head to post Caturday posts.
@complicatedlight - it's a great day, Sunday was pretty good to spend inside because of the heat but then I didn't. I went driving around a lake looking at property for sale. Want to go in on a weekend house where I'll stay during the week to do upkeep?
@fargoneandout - LOL...that's awesome that Percy is part cat. I always hated my rental places that forbade animals. I could never find places that allowed animals or smoking. I never understood why.
@BranmacFeabhail - yeah I have it in my refrigerator because the heat and humidity is pretty high here...but probably nothing like it is down there

My favorite photos are the two of my cats. One night Lua came and laid on me in my den while I was watching wrestling and she started staring at the dream catcher that hangs over my lazy-boy. I hang it there because I fall asleep so often in that chair.
@xplorrn - nope, they actually fish with rods and reels. I was hanging out at the hardware store and an old Amish bachelor of 15 or 16 walks in and asks if they have any more fishing poles. The hardware store owner says, "You people bought all my stock except those two." Those poles were $32 so the Amish kid passed. I hear they hunt with laser sights.
@xxcjs_babyxx - I did have a good day. Went for a drive out in the country and looked at property on a lake...property I'll never own but it was still enjoyable.

@hesacontradiction - I think I started doing the Caturday posts when I realized I had so many cat photos stored on my computer and I wanted to get rid of them.
@SnowshoeTrails - I think I've watched that one quite a bit more than you so who is the failure now? Actually one of my cats does something similar when she stretches during a sleep.
The road rage Caturdays sort of stuck out,,,,I have been driving in Chicago too much this year

Watch out...your cats might turn into crackwhores for that hairball remedy! I have at least one that is like that. I think she'd prefer to eat it over actual food all the time if she could.
Kitten with heart shaped fur! My aunt use to have a cat named Raisin that had a heart shaped patch of color on her side too.
So your babies like bourbon...or is Evan Williams whiskey...I can't remember. Good thing they don't have thumbs right?

@ElevenStones - the only times I've had problems driving in Chicago were during morning rush hour, lunch rush hour, and evening rush hour...the rest of the time. I always hated driving in Minneapolis. I never quite figured out why the highways were gridlocked every Saturday afternoon.
@SheilaPeer - hahaha...I have a jackelope staring at my from behind my computer, a 10 point buck staring from my left, two deer and an antelope staring from behind...I live in a fun house.
@ExposedWrists - Yikes...I better keep an eye out for strange tomcats hanging out around my house at all hours.
Kiki has two black spots on her that resemble continents. One looks like Africa and the other looks like South America. If I ever need to explain where something is in Africa or South America I grab her and point.
It's a bourbon and if my cats had thumbs I think I would have been gone a long time ago. they would have offed me because they hate going to the vet.

I love caterday. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. My cat has the same type of hairball meds. I didn't have to give her any after I changed her diet to the food that has it already inside.
