  • Lukewarm Links 10/27

I'm back with more links.  I would've done this post earlier but I fell asleep watching The League and woke and watched the baseball game.  Sweet lord I hate the Cardinals.  Well I think it's more of a hatred for Tony Larussa.  Anyway, linky poos with a theme because someone suggested it last week...can't remember whoever you are.

    1.  Well it's Halloween time and one of the fun thing to do is tell scary stories.  Some of those scary stories are thought to be just urban legends however some are true.  Here are some of the true ones.

    2.  My local news station posted this on Facebook.  It's a Halloween light show

    3.  The Huffington Post offers some costume ideas and how you can pull them off...that is if you want to dress like one of the GOP candidates.

    4.  Here's a collection of carved pumpkins.   Some of them are just amazing.  I wish I had skills in that medium.  Hell I wish I had art skills period.

    5.  Here are some Pokemon carved into pumpkins.  I'm not big into the Pokemon but I know some of you are.  I actually thought those were well done.

    6.  Well it's Halloween and it's supposedly a creepy time of the year and people are afraid of those things that go bump in the night.  But are you afraid of celebrities?  Here's a collection of celebrities that look like zombies.  I know I will have nightmares about a few of those.

    7.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume?  Check out this collection.  There are so many good ones there.  I so could pull off one of the members from #7 except I shaved my beard this week.

    8.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume?  Check out this collection.  Once again there are some good ones in there.

    9.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume?  Check out this collection of offensive costumes.  I don't think I'd do any of those.  A few made me cringe.

    10.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume and you have a few friends that also don't have costume ideas?  Check out this collection of group Halloween costumes

    11.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume and you idolize professional athletes and would wear anything they suggested?  Check out this collection of professional athletes in Halloween costumes.

    12.  Are you going out for Halloween and don't have a costume and have children and want to scar them for life?  Check out these awkward family costumes.

    BONUS LINKS
    13.  I think Lady Gaga is a cultural icon because she's been fashioned in the pumpkin art medium.  I'd rather listen to the pumpkins though.

    14.  And it couldn't be a Lukewarm Links if I didn't show what a pig I am, here's a collection of girls making out in costume at Halloween parties.

I saw this costume but wasn't included in any of those collections.  The adult version is called Sexy World War II Evacuee.

Here's another costume.  I'm fairly certain if I had kids this would be a Halloween costume.

This was in one of the links above...Jewbacca.

I found this one today.  I'm sure people would get offended by that but I'd totally have sex with girl to impregnate her just so our child could wear that costume.

This is another I found today.  So clever.

Just some more pumpkins that made me laugh.

I love taking my kids to the toy store.  I drop them off and let them run wild while I go to my toy store and run wild.

I can't remember who was talking about it today in one of their 7 things but they mentioned that they drew naked women in Sunday school but reading that made me want to share this.

    Have a great night.

  • I used to draw neekid women when I was in religious studies...
I always thought women were very mystical, and boobs are easy to draw.

  • Hate the Cardinals, hmmmmmm I can understand hating the evil empire that is the Yankees but the Cardinals?  Is this just sort of a divisional rivalry?

An ejaculating penis pumpkin, something else I just don't understand but eh

  • I'm a Cardinal fan; but first of all a baseball fan, and I certainly don't hate the fabulous Brewers!  And didn't they both give us some great baseball moments this season!    Wassup with that?

I too was compelled to share the drawing gif at the end of your post with others.

Your post was a great part of my Friday morning.  Thanx!!!!!

  • The drawing of the nekkid chick/cartoon bird is really funny.  And the last pumpkin is...wow.

  • Love the Halloween edition ;P I love the carved pumpkins the best seriously.

  • @roscoes_farm - Why doesn't that surprise me? Ha! As a kid I used to look up
"naughty" words in the dictionary and when I couldn't find them in there, I started writing the words in the back inside cover. When we cleaned out the old house I found one of the old dictionaries and in the back, scrawled in my 7 year old handwriting, were some really FUN words! Ha!

  • @AdamsWomanFell - you still got that book? I'd love to see it....

  • Best Halloween post I've seen on Xanga this week! Those links are cool! I especially enjoyed #'s 6 and 12!

Will you regrow your beard this winter?

That's funny about the Hooters and ToysRUs signs being right together! I know a city were the HUGE Adult "Toy" store is right near a Chuckie Cheese Restaurant for kids. That always makes me laugh and shake my head! I think, "Hm....if you frequently use the adult toys, you might end up with a kid you could take to Chuckie Cheese.

    HUGS and Happy Halloween, Matty!

  • @roscoes_farm - Ha! No, unfortunately not. When we were dividing up all the stuff amongst all the kids, grandkids, etc., one of my brothers grabbed that dictionary. I thought it was funny that he wanted it. One of the things I got was a ceramic cross that used to hang in the living room. A cross I accidentally broke while playing catch in the house. (One of many things we were not supposed to do, that we did. ) The ball hit the cross and it fell to the floor and broke. So I glued it back together. It amazed me that NO one ever found out! (Until I told them, when I was an adult!) Every time I'd walk by it, I could see how badly I'd glued it back together, but no one EVER noticed! As an adult, I showed everyone the the back of the cross and you can see where it had broken and was reglued! Ha! I got away with way toooooooooo much!

  • @AdamsWomanFell - you know, here i thought you had been a little angel as a child.

    yeah, raht.

  • @roscoes_farm - Well...I'm told I had/have the ability to look and appear to be an innocent angel...but my horns always show eventually. I still get away with way too much.

  • @AdamsWomanFell - Life's no fun if everybody plays by the rules all the time.

  • that father/son Jack Daniels/Marlboro costume is so funny... and so wrong lol.

  • Loved the true scary stories!!! That lady living in the dudes cabinet and coming out when he was gone is just creepy! And the zombie celeb pics... wtf happened to Madonna??? OMfreakinG!!!!!

  • These are AWESOME!!! I lol when I saw baby Mr.T. ,that's hilarious! Happy Halloween!

  • I guess this beats the time my husband found a huge white trashbag and went as Captin Condom!

  • @roscoes_farm - that was it!  I read so many of those 7 things posts that I was forgetting who said what.

    @James2012 - @dmcx2010 - glad you liked

@ElevenStones - Yeah it's the divisional rivalry and it's also Tony Larussa and how he started bean wars and complained about Brewers fans being too loud.  The guy rubs me the wrong way.
I'd like to know what the Amish would think when they see all the jackolanterns.

@onjerusalemhill - OK so maybe I was a little harsh.  The last few years when the Brewers played the Cardinals I've just come to dislike Tony Larussa.  There's just something about him that drives me nuts.  I think it's because of his retaliatory nature and also how he complains about the fans at Miller Park being too loud.  It was such a great season but I don't think the Brewers will retain Fielder.  I also fear the Cardinals will lose Pujols now that they won the World Series.
    Glad you enjoyed.

@blonde_apocalypse - When I see people making pumpkins like that I often wonder what the Amish think because they use those for so many other things besides horrible decorations.

@Hinase - Oh it was you who asked for a Halloween themed links update.

@AdamsWomanFell - I'll probably regrow it because I get lazy with shaving.  I hate it but I think that when I have a beard I look like my mother mated with an orangutan.
There's this highway in WI that has adult toy stores every 15 miles or so it seems and if it isn't a toy story then it's a strip club.

@Peridot21 - Well it's a match made in heaven although those aren't the special Marlboros that were specifically made to match Jack Daniels.  Give me a break, I used to occasionally smoke.

    @WondersCafe - mm-hmmm

@spinner_mom - Madonna really aged poorly.  I couldn't believe some of those stories were true but I guess most every story has a hint of truth to it.

@livexlovexlaughter - thanks, haven't seen you around in a long time.  Have a great Halloween

@hesacontradiction - hahaha...you have given me another costume idea
