  • Terrible Tattoo Thursday 12/22 Christmas Edition part 2

Last week I posted a batch of Christmas and Hanukkah tattoos.  This week I'm back with more Christmas tattoos.

Have I ever told you about the one girl I dated who watched A Nightmare Before Christmas at least 3 times a week?  I once dated a girl who watched A Nightmare Before Christmas at least 3 times a week.

So because I dated a girl who watched A Nightmare Before Christmas at least 3 times a week I loathe these tattoos.

I refuse to watch that movie.

I don't know if this is Zombie Santa or Demon Santa.

A lot of people tell me Elf is a good movie.  I've seen it once.  It's definitely not tattoo worthy.

I found this tattoo and it said it was supposed to be Darwin but I thought it looked like Santa...interesting how my mind interpreted that.

Here's another tattoo from the best Christmas special, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  I don't know why but I think it's because of Rudolph's expression that makes it look like Santa's trying to get Rudolph to do more than guide his sleigh by night.

This is the only deer to stand up to Santa.

    Sweet Jesus!

That tattoo will die hard.  I just hope he never encounters a man named Hans Gruber.

And that, children, is why candy canes are red and white.

Jeden Tag, jeden Jahr!  That says, "Merry Christmas every day" in German for those who don't sprech Deutsch.

Immediately, my feet began to sweat as those two fluffy little bunnies with a blue button eye stared supply up at me.

Aunt Clara had for years labored under the delusion that I was not only perpetually 4 years old, but also a girl.

I want an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time.

It was all over - I was dead. What would it be? The guillotine? Hanging? The chair? The rack? The Chinese water torture? Hmmph. Mere child's play compared to what surely awaited me. Over the years I got to be quite a connoisseur of soap. My personal preference was for Lux, but I found Palmolive had a nice, piquant after-dinner flavor - heady, but with just a touch of mellow smoothness. Life Buoy, on the other hand...

Oh, life is like that. Sometimes, at the height of our revelries, when our joy is at it's zenith, when all is most right with the world, the most unthinkable disasters descend upon us.

Only one thing in the world could've dragged me away from the soft glow of electric sex gleaming in the window.

With as much dignity as he could muster, the Old Man gathered up the sad remains of his shattered major award. Later that night, alone in the backyard, he buried it next to the garage. Now I could never be sure, but I thought that I heard the sound of "Taps" being played, gently.

You used up all the glue on purpose!

Tonight! Tonight! It's coming Tonight! Tonight! Tonight! Tonight! Hot Damn, Tonight!

They'll send the deed for cripesake. I didn't expect them to send a whole damn bowling alley.

The old man stood there, quivering with fury, stammering as he tried to come up with a real crusher. All he got out was...

    Naddafinga!

    Fra-gee-lay. That must be Italian.

A Bad Santa bad tattoo?  Actually it's not that bad if you are considering the artwork but why would you get a Bad Santa tattoo?  WHY?  Did you ask Santa for it?  My brain hurts.

I hope you have a happy holiday season and you avoid getting a regrettable tattoo.

  • some wacky stuff people do...  so in all the hype and hoopla i don't know if you ever noted your favorite 'cat album' ?  and i hope you have a wonderous and safe holiday season to boot... headin' madison way next week i think, toying with the idea of takin' my son to a uw soccer camp...

  • I like the Nightmare ones and the fishnet stocking lamp ones!

I love ACStory movie! I saw a pic of Peter B (Ralphie)...he's a very handsome 40 year old man!

My youngest and I have talked about getting tattoos while she's here for Christmas. We'll see what happens!

Egg-Nog HUGS! and Have a Yule that's cool!

  • I LOVE that there are THAT many leg lamp tattoos!  Love!

  • The Darwin one makes me mad. If that doesn't tell you I'm a nerd nothing will.

  • I've seen that leg lamp for sale somewhere, I just can't remember where. Not that I intended to buy it. How many times did you watch the movie this year, or have you memorized all the words from last year's viewing?

I've known people that really really liked Nightmare Before Christmas, but watching it three times a week is a little crazy. I think it's an okay movie. That's all.

  • Hahaha that lampshade leg is a classic.

  • It will come as no surprise to you that I freakin' LOVE The Nightmare Before Christmas.

But that Die Hard tattoo...that's inspired.

I wonder how many people besides myself consider the viewing of Die Hard to be a cherished holiday tradition?

  • Not enough leg lamp tattoos.

  • I don't like any of them.  But I am not a tattoo type of guy.

  • I have never seen Elf in its entirety. I've seen parts, but I'm fine with that.

I've also never seen "A Nightmare Before Christmas" and "A Christmas Story", as well as 99% of other Christmas movies. I'm not really a fan of Christmas movies... but I sure love "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".

  • I like the Christmas Story tattoos :)

  • come on! that's Darwin! never thought that Santa was balding...

  • wow that leg lamp, so tacky lol... i have a friend that loves that show sooo much that someone bought him a (smaller version of the) leg lamp... that he proudly displays in his house.. he doesn't have a tattoo of it, though

  • santa on a cross?  uhmm... where have i heard that recently.  oh yea.  conservatives that are judgemental, but believe in preaching down to the flock.  I just happen to not be a sheep and think Jesus was just like santa back in the day.  giving gifts to people, sharing advice... awesome guy I would say!

  • @xplorrn - I did enjoy the DSOTMbut it wasn't a real cat but oh well.  I've been trying to communicate with the photoshopper to do a Weezer one.  I do have a couple of Christmas ones for this week's edition.  Madison...good luck, I'd recommend a few places to enjoy but you'd have a child with you so that might negate my recommendations.

@AdamsWomanFell - there was always the rumor that Ralphie got into porn when he became an adult.  It was actually the kid who licked the flagpole.  I guess he's licking more than flagpoles these days.  Hmmm good luck with the tattoos.

@ZepBlueEyedGirl - I'd rather buy an actual leg lamp than have the tattoo.

@JUST_ME_1984 - I really don't understand the Darwin one other than he looks like half Santa half monkey

@leaflesstree - The local Walgreen's had a huge selection of A Christmas Story merchandise.  I actually checked out the DVD this summer from my library and watched it over and over again because I love it.  Truth be told, I don't usually watch an entire screening when it's on TV at Christmas.  I have weird taste in women although I didn't know their quirky behavior until later.  There was also the one girl who only listened to Weird Al.  I don't know if that's good or bad yet.

    @UnconventionalButterfly - I love it

@ZombieMom_Speaks - I usually watch Die Hard around the holidays too but probably not this year since my library is closed.  Oh and I doubt you watch A Nightmare before Christmas multiple times a week.

@emily_shannon - the world could use more, probably make this dump brighter...see what I did there?

@TheTheologiansCafe - I don't mind tattoos when they are done nicely...most of these are not nice

@Cestovatelka - I caught a little bit of Elf the other night and I switched the channel because it didn't keep me interested.
I have never been a fan of Christmas movies.  I think I'm one of the only people to hate It's a Wonderful Life.

@Shining_Garnet - they really are fun to look at but I don't think I'd want one.

@NiDH0GG - Well I thought Santa was hiding something under his hat and it was that he was balding.

    @Arrabella_Lyka - yes they are

@Peridot21 - YET...all I wanted for Christmas this year was a Red Ryder BB Gun and a leg lamp which I'd proudly display unless my cats started chewing on the tassels on the lamp shade.

@hesacontradiction - he seems awesome to me

  • I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life, and I'm already guessing that it's not my type of movie.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - LOL - um, no. Even I would get sick of it! I didn 't realize the tone of my comment was sort of offended when I posted it. Didn't come out the way I meant it at all. I'm sorry.

  • some of the artwork is just stunning but why people would want those faces on their bodies is just beyond me hahaha
