  • Super 8 movie review

    I watched Super 8 this evening.  It was good although I couldn't help but yelling at my TV, "Give the ball to Tim Riggins!  Pass to Smash!  Split right, pro 4573!"

    Now it's time for cats.

























    I wonder if anyone will understand my review.  Oh well...have a great weekend.  I'm hoping the weather is good so I can go see The Lemonheads tomorrow night.  I probably shouldn't have written that because the universe likes to conspire against me.

    haha that cat with the bunnies looks like it doesn't know how to get away fast enough.sleepy kitty sleeping. i like sleeping kitties the best. they don't look devilish as when they are awake.

    I just saw this movie the other night and feel the need to recommend it to someone, so you should see From Paris With Love. It's really good. :)

  • This reminded me of the cats we used to have. Now they're off living with someone who actually plays with them and such. The picture with the cute cat family was just "aww" worthy.  

    I'm not sure whether or not I got the review but it is funny to think of the way we react to some movie scenes -- being not real and all. 
    Something else I'm not sure of: when the Lemonheads thing starts and such. But hopefully it was --or going to be-- good anyway.  ( I have no idea what is that, honestly. )

    @AdamsWomanFell - glad you enjoyed, the movie review references one of the characters in the movie who was in one of my favorite tv shows, Friday Night Lights, he played the head football coach, eric taylor.

    @Peridot21 - I am a tricky guy...insert devil emoticon here...that Good Felines poster made me laugh so hard when I first saw it.  It reminds me of YEARS ago when TBS had filler for if baseball or basketball went over or if movies didn't fit in a full time slot.  The filler was chimps re-enacting famous movies.  I think I had most of them taped.  They ever had one of Titanic.

    @xplorrn - yeah I saw that about Fine and I considered what if all the accusations are false.  This country has taken on a witch hunt mentality when it comes to accusations and far too often kids know this and make an accusation against a teacher they dislike just to get rid of that teacher.

    @anth0nyc - Super 8 is a pretty good movie.  I had misgivings when I first read reviews but I ended up liking it.

    @distractedbyzombies - Friday Night Lights...the guy who played the coach in that show plays a sheriff in Super 8.  FNL and Super 8 were pretty good.

    @sleekpeek - Tim Riggins, Smash Williams, and Coach Taylor were characters on the greatest network drama of the decade Friday Night Lights.  The guy who played Coach Taylor was in Super 8.

  • @tribong_upos - there is a guy in that movie that plays the sheriff, he played a football coach on my favorite TV show Friday Night Lights and the guys mentioned were some of the players.

    @spinner_mom - Yeah I have thought of putting that in my car on the passenger side

    @raspberryjade - Super 8 was pretty good and I didn't get to see The Lemonheads because of the weather.  Everything was covered in ice and I couldn't even get my vehicle up my driveway because it was so icy.  I couldn't open my doors on my car today because they were frozen shut.

    @nov_way - sometimes I think I should take my cats to someone who'd get more enjoyment out of them but then I'd be really lonely
    The whole thing with the review was a reference to a TV show called Friday Night Lights.  It was about football and the coach on that show is the same guy who plays a sheriff in Super 8 so when he was trying to figure out what to do in Super 8 I thought I'd help him by reminding him of what he'd do in Friday Night Lights.
    I didn't get to see The Lemonheads because the show was last night and it had rained in the morning and everything was coated in ice.  I couldn't get my vehicle up my driveway because it was so icy and then this morning my doors were frozen shut and it took forever to get them open.

    @Zissu25 - I'm sure he'd make excellent decisions however I'd be worried he'd be too silent on the child abuse scandals in the church.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - i agree - and as you would know more that divide than i, the 'firing lines' of the occupation... it seems an icy, impersonable approach seems the old, 'new standard'...

  • You actually care for them, pet them and such, and it seems to me like that's generally what cats want from one.  I wouldn't even come near them, by choice. 

    And the review bit -is- funny.
