  • 9 Things I Like about Ukraine

Today was a long day.  I get a phone call about 3AM and it's my dad asking me if I've been booked for Wednesday.  I told him I have taken the past couple of Wednesdays off so I can focus on church because of Lent.  He said that he needed me to go with him to get some stuff at a pharmacy.  I agreed.  I should've known that by "going with him" meant that I was driving.  I drive him a half hour to this pharmacy that orders special diabetic stuff for him and he then asks if I want a birthday present.  He writes me a check for $40.  "Now you have to do something for me."  Don't you love when presents have strings attached?  Apparently he's listening to this late night radio show about aliens and sasquatch and 2012 and demonic possession and they advertise this special tea.  He wants me to go order some and the money that he gave me was going to go for the cost of the tea because he wants me to use my card to buy it online.  The good news is that I get to keep whatever is left over.  The tea costs $38 so I got $2.  I can buy half a gallon of gas!  I then ate at Wendy's.  I know why I don't eat at Wendy's let alone fastfood in general.  It was awful.  I then got home and took a nap.  I had a dream about a Xangan but I won't say who.  It was rather interesting because she spoke in Latin and I spoke in German and everything was written in French.  Never fall asleep watching the History Channel.  Then came time for church and I was all like, "Man it's hot out here."  I look at my thermometer and it says 65.  I get to church and it starts raining and I church it up and sing and pass the plate around and then dine at church.  Wild rice soup and banana cream pie?  YES!  I think more churches need to offer pie after services.  They'd get more people.  I come home and turn on American Idol and after 15 minutes I fell asleep.  I think I forced myself to sleep because it was just awful.  I was tired, don't know why.  Maybe it has something to do with why my left kidney feels like someone is kicking me repeatedly.  I think I may have to go check this out.  You better laugh at this stuff because it was either this or a 155 question survey.

We really need to stop Joseph Kony.

Well since American Idol did a tribute show tonight I decided it was time for this.

They said I should highlight everything that's important.

I wish it still worked.  There were a couple of women I saw today that I would've loved to have cried in front of.

DJ Benny is spinning it up and it made DJ Crush show up.

    Everything is better with sprinkles.

Chili's totally is divine.  The Awesome Blossom really is awesome in the Biblical sense.

Someone has a new idea for a Valentine's Day card.

Someone has a new pick-up line.  Oh, Ed, you so crazy...seriously, you were fucking nuts.

USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA

Just a reminder, I AM NOT FROM MILWAUKEE!

It's a sad day in our society when we don't accept pugs with curves.  A sad day, I tell you.

    Viva Wisconsin!

VIVA WISCONSIN!  God how awesome would that be to have strapped on my hip when I'm wearing my Packers shirt and hat.  You have to coordinate accessories, people!

What happens in Aisle 5, stays in Aisle 5...unless a sextape is released and a sextape will most definitely be released with all of those security cameras focused on Aisle 5.

I hear you, Kirk.  Ugh...if I wasn't alone I'd have someone drive me to the hospital.

  • This post made my day!!!

"Never fall asleep watching the History Channel!" That is very good advice!

I feel like your day resembles days I have, where it is like-- did that really happen?!

I hate Wendy's today, too-- and it sucked. That new W burger? Not worth it. Even if it was free.

The Home Depot isle made me crack up!

And, Kirk... I relate to you buddy!

    Best always, Ds

  • Oh god, I had so many used textbooks like that in college. Highlighting loses meaning when you highlight an entire chapter. Thanks for making MY resale value go down, asshole fellow college students. grumble grumble grumble

  • another overpriced Glock.

  • "church it up," lol I like that. What's in the special tea, will it stop the end of he world or just prevent demonic possession?

  • hey culver's is still pretty good. of course, as with all things...it's only a matter of time.

  • In their defense, Wendy's is the best of the fast food restaurants, I think.

Also, heads up, the Stuart cover might be going on facebook.

  • That Wisconsin one... I'd so do that.

  • Cooookies with sprinkles and banana cream pie makes this blog winning!!!! Your dad is so funny. You should call him up and ask him if he's booked today, and write him a check to take you to the hospital, and then have him pay the hospital bill and tell him to keep whatever is left. Bwhahaha!

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better soon. Drink moarrr cranberry juice!  Might be an infection.

  • I like Ukraine's rebellious spirit.

  • You and Roscoe, I can always count on you for a laugh!

  • viva la wisconsin!  good thing you had some squigtones the other day - one of the other great wisconsin bands...  you need to request a brat stop near you...  i stopped in the other night on the way home from milwaukee (another soccer tourney) and it was too crowded...  what's with that!  i thought about dropping your name...  but then i realized there weren't any ghosts around (and we weren't near barabooooooooo)...  nice job gogb - keep lentin' i guess!!!

  • my mom does the same thing to me, gives me cash and i order stuff online for her... i usually get ripped off cause of the tax and shipping, but oh well, we're good kids, so that's what we do, right? ;)

  • How the bleeding hell did French get into that mix? Bad language choice to appear in a dream. :P

Seeing highlighted textbooks makes me cringe because I can't make money off of them. It irked me when students would bring me those books and ask me if I can buy it... and I would be so angry if that book was one of my high-profit titles. Sigh. I'm still debating if I want to put myself through one last textbook buyback next month.

Awww, the pugs! I love chubby pugs! :D My parents used to have pugs when we were in Australia.

  • Lol at Predator picture

  • the hardware aisle almost made me laugh.

  • i feel so bad for those puppehs. there is no need for the hate on there cute curves.

if all three languages ended up in my dream i'd probably wake up with a headache. its not a gift  without the strings....

  • Interesting dream. I've read before in my dreams but always in English. And I've also heard other languages in my dreams but never been the speaker. Also symbols.
So basically you got a 2 dollar bday gift but had to drive around all day to get it so your probably in the hole.

P.S. - That pistol is very overpriced

  • @damiastyx - I was watching something about the Nazis but I don't know how Latin came into the mix.  Maybe there was a cut to a Latin Catholic service.
My whole life has been, "Did that just really happy?"  I think the best example of that was the time a guy with the name Christ applied for a job at a store where I was working.  He was in drag.
I don't eat Wendy's that often and this was an express Wendy's so maybe that was why it wasn't that great.
    Glad you enjoyed

@carolinavenger - I never highlighted in college, I barely brought my books to class.  I did take notes and you could tell when I fell asleep in class because my notes would just go to a straight line.  I wonder what would've happened if I had applied myself.

@roscoes_farm - It's the Packers and it's etched with all their Super Bowl victories...all that engraving costs money.

@leaflesstree - I think it will cause him to focus in more so he can really understand what's going on with aliens and demonic possession and spend money on the show.

    @complicatedlight - yeah, I should've went to Culver's, there's always Culver's...I think that should be their motto

@emily_shannon - I think this one sucked because it was an express Wendy's, they didn't have a full menu, but I think Culver's is the best
I saw that floating around Tumblr this afternoon.  I know my site has had pics raided before

@raiderjester - I wish I had more stairs on the outside of my house

@spinner_mom - you know...that's a brilliant plan.  I used my $2 and bought myself a shake at the gas station a block from my house.  It was delicious.
I drink pomegranate and cranberry juice every night...I have an appointment tomorrow, the pain wasn't bad today but I had another thing come up.

@DivaJyoti - yeah they are feisty, I had a co-worker from Ukraine, she hated it when Americans referred to Ukraine as "the Ukraine".  She would scream and throw things.

@BoulderChristina - glad I can offer something around here.

@xplorrn - hey, if you ever stop in Baraboo go to the Old Baraboo Inn and tell them you read about it and heard about it from my and they might not have any clue what you're talking about but if you tell me when you're coming and invite me along then they might acknowledge who I am and we'd have to go later at night because that's when it's most active.

    @Peridot21 - yeah, good kids...looks around nervously...yeah, that's the ticket

@Cestovatelka - I was watching a show about the third Reich and they were interviewing some French resistance guy so I probably had that in my head.
I suppose highlighting would take down the resale value.  Well I'm glad I never touched my textbooks when I was in college.

@npr32486 - yeah I had a guy on Facebook last night say that he thought he looked like Kony.  I was hoping someone would fall into that trap.  Only one person acknowledged it over on Tumblr and they realized what I had done as well.
I think the gun is marked up because of the Packers stuff and it's also engraved with all the Super Bowl victories.

@promisesunshine - Makes me think twice about going to Home Depot

@StrawberrySunrises - yeah pugs are such cute dogs, I had a friend in college that had one but she was so strung out because he rescued her from a puppy mill.  For 5 or 6 years she had only lived inside a kennel and had litter after litter of puppies.

    @LadyofWaters - yep, that's my dad.
I often talk in foreign languages in my dreams.  I find it quite awkward actually and most of the dreams I remember are the ones in foreign languages.  The dream I had last night was weird because I started a museum dedicated to the history of my life and I spoke in German and everyone else spoke in English but we all understood each other

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - that's just cool to me. I've never been able to retain foreign languages though.

  • Your post made my morning. It does suck when you get a gift with strings attached. I'm just curious...is the tea supposed to save you from aliens, demonic possession and sasquatch?  Love the graphics, I actually did LOL at them! Hope you feel better today!

  • hummmmm.....I thought the world champions got a ring

  • @LadyofWaters - I've had that gift I guess.  I've wanted to try Arabic but I'm afraid people would label me a terrorist if I tried it.

  • @accidentalangel - I asked him about it today and he said it was for cleansing...whatever that means.  I think he's trying anything to get off kidney dialysis
    Glad you enjoyed

  • @mlbncsga - oh they do but that's a special item for the fans to commemorate all the Super Bowl wins.

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - don't live your life by other peoples standards. Youve obviously been given a gift of language skills and enjoy it so if you want to learn Arabic do so.

  • i dated a Ukrainian girl for two years in high school. we never did the Home Depot thing though.

i thought "run and shoot" was a Detroit Lions thing.

  • So what's your beef with Milwaukee? Granted, our summers were spent in Oconomowoc, but still......I've got relatives there, ya know?  Oh, and your dad was just trying to teach you a lesson. I just hope you brought your highlighter as you took notes.....   Thanks for making me laugh.

    Süße Träume, mein Kleiner

  • Now that sounds like a very lax yet interesting day :D

Kony? We need to stop him, but not by destroying another country in the process...

    Check out my post: http://tribong-upos.xanga.com/759715221/i-am-alarmed/

  • I needed this! & I am SO the highlighter chick, but with White-Out....Thank S.Jobs for computers

  • @TheSutraDude - Those Ukrainian girls are something else

  • @Kellsbella - well I just wanted to assure people that I'm not the type of person that goes on Facebook and brags about a sex toy purchase because that's what Xanga is for.  Besides Milwaukee is so much better than Muckwonago.

  • @tribong_upos - yeah I get really upset when I hear people begging for American military intervention.  We don't need to be in another country.  I remember hearing somewhere that a while back they did launch drones or missiles against his group that Lord's Army and of course people were saying that "it's an attack by the Muslim Obama on Christianity".

  •          I am half a Ukrainiane!

  • @godfatherofgreenbay - "Those Ukraine girls really knock me out....they leave the west behind!"...Back in The U.S.S. R by The Beatles

  • @Tallman - that's awesome, I love that song
