	Where Have I Been...once againDoesn't this seem like a broken record? I'm here for a few days and then I'm gone for a few. Well I can't remember when I was last on a computer, probably Thursday, which means I had a long and busy weekend. If you don't keep up with Western Wisconsin news and I don't know why you shouldn't since this is called God's Country and has one of the highest concentrations of Amish outside of Pennsylvania, then you'd know about these escaped prisoners. Sometime on Tuesday night or early Wednesday they walked away from a minimum security prison that transitions prisoners to release. One of the guys had a month left and the other had about 6 months left. Anyway they walked away and broke into a house, stole some guns, and stole a car and hightailed it out of there. The next day they are spotted in a town about a half hour north from where I live and they lead police on a high speed chase through a residential district and they end up escaping. Then they bring in FBI to look for these guys. Then the prisoners steal a car, a Chrysler Concorde just like one I used to own, from a farm 15 t0 20 minutes from me. The kid was stupid enough to leave his car outside and with the keys in the ignition. Anyway that was Thursday morning and they couldn't find them all of Thursday so they figure these two have left the area and quite possibly the state. Well I go out Friday morning for a doctor's appointment in the town about an hour or so northwest of me. After the appointment I'm feeling really hungry so my dad takes me to the Burger King a few blocks from the hospital. I can't drive because they usually take out so much blood that it leaves me loopy. Anyway I'm getting ready to order my meal and my cellphone goes off. Normally my mom won't be bothered to use her cellphone and to call my cell it scared me so I answered. People spotted these prisoners at a Dollar General about 4 blocks from my house and then at a gas station a block from my house. They just drove in a straight line from one point to the other and passed by my house in the process. Now the rumor is and I've heard this from a few people that these two were spotted looking at an SUV parked outside a house across from the library. That was my vehicle. My mom went on to say that they put her hospital on lockdown and the police were chasing these guys all over town. They figure they were here because the one guy has family in the area. Well they weren't caught and they are still at large. Oh and on the way home I discovered an Amish bulk food store. I was pretty impressed with their stock and prices. I bought a 1lb bag of bacon bits for $2. If I bought that much at the store with the cheapest they have I'd spend $6. I also got a bunch of candy and soup mixes. I'm set. Saturday I had to catch up on work around the house and then I get a phone call from my aunt asking if I could accompany her and my mom to a country grocery store. So they pick me up around 11:30 and we go out. Well my aunt is one of these people that just like to take random roads to see where they go. It took us about an hour to get there when it would take me about 25 minutes. I bought a case of cans of sweet tea. They are the tall cans and there are 24 cans in the case all for $1. I also got a bunch of gatorade for cheap. Well we didn't see the prisoners out in the country which I sort of expected because both of those guys are former military. We go to a McDonald's for a lunch and the first thing I notice are two guys matching the description of the prisoners. Well it wasn't them because even though their faces looked like the guys they were much too short. Both were over 6ft tall and these guys were lucky to be 5'6". Then I get home and crash. My Sunday was fun because my church had our annual picnic. We have it at a park next to the lake so when the pastor preaches he stands at one end of a shelter and we look out at the lake. It's fun listening to him and watching the hawks circle above the lake waiting for the fish to jump. Then after the service and meal I came home and napped and then decided against hopping on the internet because I figured that everyone is going to be debating gun control. I own four guns. Even my cats own guns. I guess that makes me a horrible gun nut who is going to shoot you because I own guns.
 (Lua when she was healthy and could carry a gun. She's still on the mend.)My own opinion is that we don't have enough gun ownership but then I live in a little town where prisoners run loose. I'll just say I have my guns loaded and ready in case someone tries to break into my house. Once they catch them I'll unload them and put them back. But then I'm a country bumpkin in a fly-over state so I don't know nothing about anything other than corn husking and cow milking. Oh and this morning I was out watering my lawn and the police pulled up to watch the gas station. Then this nerdy looking couple pull up and asking me how to get to an Amish settlement. I told them to turn around and head down by the Lutheran church and take a right and follow that road until they get to the place where the trees are starting to change. Then they asked if there was any wifi in the area because apparently they needed to trust mapquest instead of my directions. I took one look at their license plates and knew they wouldn't survive my directions...TARDI5...damn city slicker time travelers.

Wow I hope they catch them. That is WAY too close for comfort! Stay safe and don't go shooting one of those guns off my accident. Lua is gorgeous.
  Lua is gorgeous.
I don't think I could handle all that excitement!
I'm not sure if anyone would want my car but me... with it's geek decorations and whatnot.
wow that is scary. O.O I don't blame anyone who feels the need to have a gun.
Is Lua any better?
thank you for the bacon inspiation as I spent 2.3s some a pound at the military comissary and. I thought I got a deal. curious, we're talking real bacon crumbles or fried flour chips? ilel real bacon or made with real bacon the grocery down the street sells the same bacon I bould for 6 bucks..where did deer enter into this... six bucks a pound.  if not more..

after we covered the scholarly nutrtition in the last series of comments how to become confused, initial evidence suggests that the snake oil cure of your ills any and all of them is rose hips.
rose hips because they contain vit C and lycopene. this aids with iron uptake I did no such thing as hours of research so I may be flogging the product in another town real soon

Rose Hips and Powder Profilehttp://www.mountainroseherbs.com/learn/rosehips.php
Rose
hips have a long history of use in traditional medicine. The iron in
rose hips make them an excellent supplement for menstruating women, and rose hip tea
Seems like a bacon bits lab would be as lucrative as a meth lab, with some of the same hazards but possibly shorter prison terms.
I visited Amish country in Ohio a couple of times, and loved it, especially the cheese. At the time I could buy smoked Swiss for under $2 a pound.
four guns? one for each corer of the house ?
?
Your life has become one big adventure!
I want a gun, and there is a shooting range right up the road here. What should I get? I have a black cat and two tabbies. A 38 special snub nose? Better than a 22. I'm serious.
it wount be longe thead will be caught
Is there a bounty on these guys? Maybe you could make a few bucks. Also, I like to drive around and see where roads go. But not when I have a destination in mind. Hope the prisoners don't take you hostage!
See, this is the kind of mess we get into when Xanga goes broken and we have to fend for ourselves. The morons will be recaptured of course and will have to spend another year in jail. I suppose the thrill of driving around in 100 degree heat makes it all worth while.
I was finally able to see the photo you posted. Unfortunately there were no boobs in it.
Scary! Maybe you should start taking your gun with you when you go out. Don't wanna see you on the news with a cap busted in dat ass.
What happened to Lua?
I was gone from Xanga for a week (on a last-minute mission trip) and I missed a ton of news, apparently.
I hope they catch the bad guys!
Yay for guns. I've been thinking about taking gun safety...hmmm. I'm glad you're okay.
Did you say... a POUND of bacon bits
:drool:
Was the nerdy couple's car bigger on the inside?
@EmilyandAtticus - well the news said tonight that they think they are still hiding out in this area because there is a government forest which is probably a perfect hiding place because no one can get that far into it plus they have so many friends and family around here who are probably helping them.
Even if they are loaded I leave safeties on but I suppose that still could be construed by some as dangerous. Maybe I'll just chase them with my swords.
@Relic47 - it's so much fun...wait...sarcasm doesn't translate well over the internet
@emily_shannon - I thought they would've been daft to steal my SUV because I have personalized plates and people would've known it was stolen if they didn't see me behind the wheel.
@StrawberrySunrises - and I think I failed to mention that police coverage is scarce here. People usually say let the cops handle it but what happens when the police in my town of 1400 are off duty? Yeah, that happens. A few years ago on a Saturday morning a family woke up to find a drunk guy sleeping in their 5 year old daughter's room. They called the cops but had to wait 45 minutes for a county sheriff to drive from the other side of the county. So if someone breaks into my house I might not have 45 minutes.
Lua is doing pretty good. I think she's getting stuffed because I'm trying to get her to eat like every hour so she gains weight but she's not wanting to eat all the time. Also her yellow is going away which is really good.
@starmanjones - well the stuff I'm talking about are just like the brand name stuff Bacos so maybe it's not impressive. It's still a great price.
I know they also sell sugar for like 15 cents a pound.
@Roadkill_Spatula - those amish sure do have quite the racket going plus I think that some do manufacture meth. I've heard about arrests out in Pennsylvania. I have heard a few grow marijuana around here.
I looked at a website for a cheese factory that uses amish milk for their cheese. Their Swiss cheese is quite expensive but then that was their mailing rate.
@under_the_carpet - I haven't thought about doing that...yet. Two I don't think would harm a human unless I had super aim.
@Aloysius_son - yeah, it was always like that when I was in high school and college and then it sort of slowed down for the last couple of years but now it's getting exciting once again.
@sleekpunk - I have a 410 rifle, a 22 rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a 45, I love my 12 gauge.
@James2012 - that's what I hope
@leaflesstree - yeah I like driving on random country roads too but like you said not when you have to get some place. We did so much backtracking.
The next time I see a cop hanging outside my house I should ask about the bounty.
@we_deny_everything - sorry for the lack of boobs
When I was here last Thursday it seemed like Xanga team was blaming people for ruining Xanga. It's weird but I think Xanga is the only site on the net that purposefully drives users away.
@ZombieMom_Speaks - I used to carry a gun with me every time I went into parts of Minneapolis. It was pretty rough in some areas after dark.
I don't know how long ago this was but a few weeks ago on a Sunday Lua started sneezing and coughing. She then stopped moving and was in one position for a long period of time. I went over and picked her up and she felt warm. She crawled down by my feet and spent the entire night in that positing and I doubt she moved. anyway I took her to the vet the next day and she had a really high fever. It was like 106. 101 is normal for cats and 107 is when it becomes fatal. Well I get some antibiotics and give them to her for a couple of days as well as aspirin but she just doesn't move, eat, or drink. I take her out a couple days later and she still has a high fever. We change antibiotics and still a day later she hasn't changed. Well on a Sunday instead of going to a family reunion I stayed home and doused her with cold water every hour. Well the next day the fever hadn't come down so I left her at the vets. She took blood samples and they didn't indicate anything. The vet got her fever down and I brought her home but she wouldn't eat or drink so I took her back out and the vet noticed her ears were yellow which indicated jaundice probably due to liver failure from the high fever. I left her out there for over a week so the vet could pump her full of different ivs and keep her hydrated and get her eating. Well a week and a half later she called and said I could get her because she thought the recovery might go smoother at home. Well I brought her home two Saturdays ago and she's slowly recovering and today I noticed that most of the yellow is gone.
@Cestovatelka - I seem to be so out of the loop especially with all this talk about people having problems with Xanga.
@crazy2love - Gun safety class was pretty much a given around here at age 12. Everyone took it even if people didn't hunt.
@carolinavenger - yes a pound...I decided to go with the pound bag because I didn't think I could use the 5 pound bag before they went stale.
@whyzat - yes, it was the strangest thing. They were driving some little car that I could probably bench press and then I look inside and it looks like they're driving a double wide van.
Congratulations on your acquisition of bulk bacon bits.
You also should, in theory, know about cheese, water parks, and apparently beer.
@godfatherofgreenbay - bacos is fried flour and 15 cents a pound..bacos like deal and sugar... do you know you're just yeast away from bacon vodka?
   and 15 cents a pound..bacos like deal and sugar... do you know you're just yeast away from bacon vodka?
I'd say something sarcastic about you being a trigger happy gun freak, but like you said, sarcasm doesn't translate very well over the internet.

How's Lua holding up?
Fellow pro-gunner. And yes, us city folk apparently can't live without GPS now...panic sets in w/o it, for surely we can't rely on our common sense to guide us!
Huh, what's that?
@Thatslifekid - I also know about go-karts and mini-golf
@Lakakalo - oh she's holding up but I done messed up with the treats I'm giving her and the vitamins. I created a cat with diarrhea.
@Shopgirl0393 - I always think of getting a GPS but then I realize everywhere I want to go in this area or in the cities I frequent, I know where I'm going so I have no need for GPS.
@godfatherofgreenbay - It's really not entirely as reliable as they claim, either...coming directly from one who sadly horrific at directions, for what it's worth.
p.s. http://orbisvitae.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=download&Number=1805&filename=Spoons%20made%20me%20fat.jpg
@Shopgirl0393 - all I needed to know about the reliability of GPS was on The Office. I also had a friend visit me and he used it and it took him on such a weird route.
I love that photo. I've seen it on Facebook lately and I've seen a few Facebook wars fought over it.
