Let’s face it. The new xanga sucks major wazoo. We won’t be here very long. There will never EVER be new members, because, who will ever decide to join?
The main defect (there are many) is that there is no recommending. You will never get new visitors. You will never learn of an interesting new blog.
exactly…in order to blog you need to spend money. Boy oh boy, I can make comments for free but there’s no way I know if people reply to my comments on other sites.
Yeah recommending was a hassle at times but I have to admit it’s bad without it. I don’t even know how to follow new people.

If you were premium then you will be able to blog also you had to donate money which was actually a paid subscription. Without either of those (premium is being phased out in favor of the payment method) you can only comment and not blog.
I don’t know that either. I was trying to figure that out the other day. On WordPress they tell you. If you find out, please let me know.

Name Link not Working?
If you notice that names in comments are no longer clickable and the avatars lead to a ‘not found’ page, do this: Top right, of your screen where your cute lil avatar is, chose Edit Profile. Scroll through and look for the space next to Website. Add in your xanga address (eg. http://myname.xanga.com) and this make it so that your name becomes a clickable link. It still does not work with your avatar image however.
Try this! It worked for me!

weird I’m having troubles.
OK I get it now, they only are clickable on comments you make AFTER you change it. So no comments you made before the change have the link. Gosh that’s just…not awful but not smart. I’m sure it’s just a bug which makes me think this new Xanga has more bugs than a Tijuana flophouse.
