Homework Assignment 2/20
Class, I enjoyed reading your last assignment. It's nice to know that you people are so kind and are concerned about me. It's really touching especially after the week I've had. I'm not going to grade you for caring because that's just something I want to keep locked up for later pondering. Thank you.
Now here's your new assignment:
Answer one or the other but answer them clearly. Get to work.
My answers:
A. "Creep" by Radiohead, "Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum, "Daughter" by Pearl Jam, "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak, "Mama Said Knock You Out" by LL Cool J, "Jump" by Kriss Kross, "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice, "Bump N Grind" by R Kelly, "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana, "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" by Spin Doctors, "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said FredB. Yes, I won't need them when I'm dead.

Extra points for answering both?
I am an organ donor. I will not need my organs after I die. I do not have a problem with someone having them who can actually put them to good use.
5 songs from the 90s- MMM BOP- Hanson. I Want You Back, NSync. No Scrub, TLC. I Love You, Martina McBride. Slim Shady.
I am planning to at some point when I figure how. No need to waste something that could be used for someone who needs it more.
A. Novemeber Rain by Guns and Roses, Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg, Whata a Man by Salt N' Pepa, Amazing by Aerosmith (oh my god I feel old!)
B. I used to until I watched the last Xfiles movie where the seriel killer located his victims through who was an organ donor! Now I'm paranoid... and just because you are paranoid does mean they are out to get you! =P
oh yea... in my state, it's law to ask every family to donate the deceased organs! so I don't need to be on a list.
I'd pick five random Weird Al songs from the 90's.
vogue by madonna, smooth by santana, all star by smashmouth, smells like teen spirit by nirvana, tubthumping by chumbawamba
i must say the 90's is not my favorite music era. bleh
not an organ donor cuz i haven't gotten around to it
I'm an organ donor because I believe in recycling. :) And because there is a very real possibility that I will need a kidney transplant in the future and to not pay it forward when the time comes would be hypocritical.
I am an organ donor I think. I checked it on my first drivers license and I think they still count that. I'll have to check on that lol
Oh I forgot the why. I think it's mostly cause they got us in school about the importance of giving and helping others not sure if it was anything more than that really.
I'm an organ donor. I get a cute little heart on my license and if I die why not help someone else?
Also, I'm not into that whole conspiracy thing that they'd let you die just because you're an organ donor. You can buy organs from China, we don't need to waste people for that reason - they're doing it for us.
Ooo... I'll go from what first hit me in the 90's (i.e. became aware of music)
1. Offspring - Pretty Fly for a White Guy2. Britney Spears - One More Time3. Smash Mouth - All Star4. Blink 182 - All the Small Things5. Lit - My Own Worst Enemy
And yes, why not give up my organs? Not that anyone would likely want them...
smash mouth's getting some love... that's a good thing!
i'll have to ponder the 90's music for a bit...
and yes i'm a donor... wait, organ - or...
kidding - with two kids of my own i've done my share in that realm...
why - organ donors give the greatest gift of all - a chance for someone else to enjoy this amazing life thing... and a chance to see elvis roam the earth again...
I'd play Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit. That counts for 5 songs right?
A. Is this question created from my constant mention of 90s Pop? lol. I have way too many songs from the 90s that I love, so this was tough.
1. One Headlight - The Wallflowers (re: my Jakob Pulse yesterday)
2. Waiting For Tonight - Jennifer Lopez
3. Barely Breathing - Duncan Sheik
4. Whatever Ace Of Base song because they all sound the same
5. Whatever Backstreet Boys song because I LOVE THEM
B. I think my drivers license says I'm an organ donor. But I'm going to put this out there now - no one will be able to get my liver because that will be killed off for sure once I'm back in Europe lol
I, too, believe in recycling useful body parts. My husband knows this and I think it says so on my driver's license. I've been thinking about donating bone marrow, but I hear it's a painful process.
A. the first song is easy and it would be 1) Gonna Make You Sweat by C&C Music Factory (i just love this song), 2) Baby Got Back by Sir Mix-A-Lot, 3) Set Adrift On Memory Bliss by PM Dawn, 4) What Is Love by Haddaway and 5) Poison by Bell Biv Devoe... kind of a dance theme thing goin' on

i'm opposed to homework at this moment. but... have a day old cake.
yes i am a organ donor
5 songs from the 90's: Mmm Bop, Barbie Girl, Tub thumping, Buddy Holly, (Weezer) and All Star. Lots more, but those five are just plain fun.
Yes, I'm an organ donor. I have mixed feelings about it - I'd love to help someone else, and obviously I wouldnt' need them anymore, but I have a little bit of a freakiness about what people do with dead bodies - the donor people, coroners, and morticians. Had to face a lot of that when my husband passed. But yes, we donated his corneas, because we thought he'd like that. His dad was an eye doctor who helped people to see. Also, hubby had a rare blood type and was always donating blood when he was alive, so I figured he'd want to keep helping. Two people have regained their vision because of our donation. Still, I get a little bit of the willies when I think about what they had to do to him.
A: All Apologies by Nirvana, The Sign by Ace of Base, Runaway Train by Soul Asylum, No Rain by Blind Melon, and Where's the Love by Hanson.
B: Yes. I have no use for my organs while I'm dead, and I haven't destroyed them so much that they won't be useful for someone else.
Only 5 songs? It's going to be a really short party.
1. I'm Blue - Eiffel65
2. Gangster's Paradise - Coolio or Amish Paradise - Weird Al
3. Smooth - Santana
4. What is Love - Hadiway
5. Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. Disarm - Smashing Pumpkins (Hey maybe if I play a few more tunes people will stick around a little longer)
Yes I am, or rather I will be when I am done with them.
@temporarilyinnocent - oh yes, extra points for sure. That's what I think, I'm not going to need organs. Nice songs
@StrawberrySunrises - exactly, I didn't really need to get permission. I just grabbed a sticker and put it on my license when I first got it.
@hesacontradiction - oh wow, I didn't know states did that, interesting. Hmm I've never really seen the x-files, maybe I should find dvds if they are on dvd, nice songs
@Rob_of_the_Sky - I wouldn't expect anything less
@bonmots - oh man, that song Smooth, when it first came out I thought it was awesome and I bought the album and then the radio got a hold of it and played the living hell out of it and I despised it but now I love it because I don't hear it every other song
@Melissa___Dawn - that's pretty decent idea, I know my dad has thought of kidney transplant but he needs to lose a lot of weight
@LadyofWaters - good points, I figure if I can do some good after I'm gone then why not, I'm not going to need my organs
@raspberryjade - I have a bright orange sticker on my license, or at least I did, I think all I have no is a checkmark. You know, I haven't heard that, I may have to ask my mom if there's any truth to that.
@npr32486 - oh man, that is such a good playlist, great thinking with the organs
@xplorrn - awesome sentiments...you need to do your own playlist, man
@heythereJOANN - I suppose it does because it inspired so much
@Cestovatelka - I actually had that one created a while back but you inspired me to post it. I have a feeling that none of my organs will be usable but it's the thought that counts.
@whyzat - yeah, I had a classmate do it for his brother and he said it was the most painful thing he's ever experienced.
@Peridot21 - wow, that's a good playlist and I'm shocked that the PM Dawn song, I'm not certain if I know it but I'll look it up to know for sure.
@promisesunshine - OK thank you very much
@James2012 - that's good
@musicmom60 - that's a good playlist, you know it is sort of creepy but I guess the creepy factor goes away for me when I realize that I can live on in someone else and help them.
@leaflesstree - nice playlist, I remember when that Ace of Base song was like the #1 song for almost an entire year or maybe it was just a couple months but it was so popular that it was even featured in an episode of Full House. Great thoughts about donation.
@Aloysius_son - well those are songs you MUST play, you can play others but what I was asking for was songs that you would definitely play.
Okay:
1. "I'll Never Break Your Heart"--Backstreet Boys (YES! I am a total fan girl!)2. "Creep" --Radiohead (I noticed this was on your list as well--badass).3. "You Oughta Know" --Alanis Morisette4 "Enter Sandman" --Metallica5 "Can I Get A.." --Jay-Z
And yes, I'm an organ donor, though, I am a little concerned that if something happened, the medics would be like "OH LOOK. FREE LUNGS. JUST LET HER GO." or something like that. Haha.
It's too late to think.
I try to donate my organ all the time. No takers as of yet.
