Is it Football Season Yet?
The Brewers have tanked and the Sox seem to be in a tailspin so I have begun a countdown for September 4th when the Wisconsin Badgers play UNLV.
Hey did someone get footage of me celebrating another Badger victory?
All will be well in the land of Bucky if they can build off last season.
Also seeing this has me smiling.
In case you don't get the reference:
And she has to be the cutest thing ever
In case you don't know, Varsity is the greatest song in all of college sports.
I am way too excited for this season. If you find it watch Being Bucky, the greatest documentary of all time.

@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
I didn't know the US was even in it, haha! England, France, Brazil, Italy and Portugal. In that order.
@OhItWontBeForever -
Yeah yeah yeah...I got my post about that coming in the future although I am saddened that Germany lost Ballack.
@OhItWontBeForever - lol. oh yeah. england too. and I actually don't know if the us is in it. lol.
I'm not that hardcore. I sometimes watch with my dad.

I think they have sold out most every home game since 1990 plus the Badgers have one of the best traveling fan bases in all of college football. When I went to see them play in the Metrodump there were always more Badgers fans than golden squirrel fans. And then when they played Hawaii last season it was practically a home game. Basically 80,000 people at a home game. When they do the Jump Around thing the stadium feels like it will collapse. Then when they do varsity after the game, everyone sways and I swear Camp Randall sways as well.
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
YOU'RE IN. You're in Group C with us!
@nattata -
Yes, he is. Makes me want to sit down and think about thinking about having a child some day.
@TheBigShowAtUD -
I am just so thankful I got to run out of that tunnel at Camp Randall although it wasn't at the collegiate level.
@Peridot21 -
Yeah it weird how the Badgers fan follow the team. Last year when they played Hawaii there were more Badger fans there than Hawaii fans. The last time they played UNLV it was a home game despite being in Las Vegas. Then the Packers are the same way. Back when Tampa was in their division, there would always be more Packer fans than Bucs fans.
Oh and you want crazy? Some of the tailgating for Badgers home games start on Thursday and the game isn't played until Saturday but then tailgating for the Badgers usually is year round.
@OhItWontBeForever - :) where are you from?
@TheSecretLifeOfPandas -
England.
But I support all those other teams cos we're not that good haha. France cos it's my favourite coutnry, Brazil cos RONALDINHO, Italy cos they're all hot, Portugal cos I used to have a crush on Cristiano Ronaldo, and even though it's over, I still support them. Habit.
still, man. that counts. how'd that happen?
@OhItWontBeForever - lol.
the only reason I support england is cuz I got to live for a spell in london.
otherwise eh.
and u.s. cuz that's where I'm from and mexico cuz of my rents are from there.

State championship football game. Division 3 out of 3, just private schools. We played public schools during the regular season went 3-6, made the playoffs for the private school playoffs, beat the #1 seed, the #4 seed, and the #2 seed to get to Camp Randall. We lost to a school that had an arrangement with the private school system that said if they won their conference during the regular season they would play in division 2 but if they lost they got to play in division 3. We got crushed but it was still quite an experience to rub shoulders with Ron Dayne in the locker room.
Are you from Green Bay? My hubby grew up there and went to the University of Wisconsin. He doesn't blog, but he would love this post!! He is totally obsessed with Bucky the badger. I went to KU, so we're hoping that someday our teams play against each other in either basketball or football. It's highly unlikely, but a girl can dream
@ShamrockLover -
I am actually from the happiest place in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Dells. The greenbay of my name comes from my undying love of the Packers, I should just change it to Wisconsin though. I would love to see some Badgers/Jayhawks match-ups because I had a few college classmates that were from Kansas that were huge KU fans. I remember one guy got so upset when they lost a game that he destroyed his dorm room desk.
@godfatherofgreenbay - lol i believe it... they deff get into it!
...btw, you don't have a chatboard? i was gonna leave a reply to your audio comment there... anywaaaay, Monster Ballads! ...exactly!!! ...i mean can that dude hold a note or whaaaat??
@Peridot21 -
Chatbox? You mean that thing on top of the Xanga page that also features the Xanga TV?
Oh and it should have been MONSTER BALLADS! with this profile pic.
@godfatherofgreenbay - er no, not chatbox, chatboard... mine is on my profile page, under memories... it's where ppl can leave random comments, ya know? ...did i just not see yours? (cuz that's totally possible lol) ...and that profile pic is kind of hard to make out... but it looks like a rocker dude? so then, yeah... perf! lol =P
@Peridot21 -
It's Ronnie Dobbs from Run Ronnie Run and yes I have a chatboard on my profile page.
Haha, one of my co workers is a Badger fan =]
@godfatherofgreenbay -
Wow, that's incredible...
@mZdejavuZ -
I know there are other college stadiums that get more people but nothing beats the Camp Randall experience especially with their band, the band that the NCAA put on probation because of all the bad antics. A band that has made a 5th quarter for football games and for away games the other schools beg that band to come.
What you may not realize is that Bucky, in that YouTube video, had just done 63 pushups and could hardly raise his arms
@buckycraig -
Must have been when they played Temple. I couldn't imagine doing all those push-ups wearing that outfit. That documentary Being Bucky is pretty amazing.
